the only truth I know is my own experience

A book of books! October 15, 2009

I’ve just finishied reading a book. A very unusual one. It is not a book in a real sence of it, but it contains…the best of all that has been known of this Earth so far!

Sounds very intriguing, isn`t it?

Here is the book:

This is a Biographical Dictionary of Realised Souls. It contains 160 entries for key figures in the History of Spirituality, together with a Glossary of Terms and a Bibliography, as well as great links to the sources.

The book contains short bios of the truly great people who deeply influenced the evolution fo human civilization, personalities whose enlightened hearts and minds sculptured the face and soul of Mankind. The true heroes, not the false ones who are presented to us as such by the mighty brainwash.

Among these 160 are those who are very well known like Christ, Leonardo Da Vinici, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Rumi, Carl Jung, Lenin, Mozart, etc.  and some are less known like Dadu Dayal, Joachim of Fiore, Hildegard of Bingen, Daniil Andreev, Patacara and many more… What brings all these personalities together into this book is that their heritage has truly good vibrations, opposite to many so called gurus and leaders, whose heritage emits heat. Having all these people in one book, creates a different perspective on the world history. It suddenly becomes clear how, through the great souls of all nations we are all genuinely connected and how they all have been speaking about same things… (more…)

Russian alternative to Valentine`s day – 8 Juli July 8, 2008

image: mail.ru

Russia is undertaking another wise step in revival its former values by establishing a new annual celebraiton – THE DAY OF LOVE, FAMILY AND FAITHFULNESS on 8 July. It sounds like a beautiful alternative to the famous Valentine`s Day to me. A celebration of a happy marriage filled with love and faithulness looks much more attractive than the one of the romantic “falling in love” (which mostly ends up unfortunate).

The idea of establishing the Day of Love on 8 July was born in Murom, a rich on traditions old Russian town where the Holy Spouses Prince Pyotr and Princess Fevronia has been celebrated since the Tsar times . The wife of the Russian President, Svetlana Medvedevahas now taken the patronage over the celebration. Upon her initiative, the symbol of the new annual Day of Love will be a daisy flower. The next year the celebration may get a status of an official Russian holiday.

I believe that a sound family is crucial for any society. Was it Lenin who said ” A family is a cell of society” ( I wonder if this phrase is known in the West)? It is quite obvious from what I see around that the people from broken homes have more difficulties with creating a happy family life themselves. Not only that – I see so many young and not any more that young people in Europe who are generally afraid of any long-time relationships (there is a special word for that in German “Bindungsangst”).  I find it very sad. People are looking for love, but they are afraid of that! They want the warmth of a close relationship, but they don`t know how to give this love and how to enjoy it 😦 The single-life is being propagated as the coolest life style (!). (more…)

A unique blog about Russia July 2, 2008

image by axinia (landing in Moscow)

How many good things do you know about Russia? If you google “Russia positive”  – you will find mostly the news about HIV positives in Russia , if you try it with Google page on “Good Russia”  – there are more sceptical than really good news either.

Russia has been and still is a mystery for the rest of the world. Basically it lays on the Russia`s national policy: as a self-sufficient country, Russia sees no need in self-promotion (as some other countries do). That is why so much of the fascinating information remains unknown to the non-Russian speaking people.

Seeing all that, and actually being fed up with the negative news on Russia, I decided to start a special project – a multy-authors Blog under the title “1000 things you never knew about Russia”.  Actually I was planning a post “10 things about Russia you never knew”, but discovered that 10 are too less – these are innumerate facts and interesting observations… May be I will still start with this post here, on 1000petals – but the blog will be created too!

I am looking for the co-authors (Russians who can write in English) or Russophiles 🙂 It can become a big thing, and a very valuable source for many researches and just curious souls. It wonder if it would be possible to make such a blog to the opinion leader in the field or  – another possibility –  if would be possibly banned (even by WordPress, like this one – an American writing about Russian Women)…

So basically that was a short promotion of something that does not exist yet 🙂 Hope with your support I will find out how good this idea actually is.

Thanks and LOVE, axinia

Since long I wanted to have a simple, nice blog where I could share spontaneous thoughts and feelings without much work 🙂 Something cosy and easy, a kind of 1000petals light…

Thanks to my beloved WordPress that comes up with new features pretty often, I grab the idea of the new Theme (Monotone) and started a photoblog – luckily I still have more photos to share.

And… Here it is! 1000loves. Promise to post every day (exept for holidays) 🙂

Hope you will like it!

LOVE, axinia

New styling for my blog April 10, 2008

I really loved my old Theme – it was so cosy, round, elegant and special. But these terrible problems of inserting the right font made the think of a new theme. After some crazy rush around the WordPress themes I chose the one you see now. And somehow, I felt it is a new start! May be it is beautiful spring outside that inspired me… Anyway I am glad I did that and hope the posting will be even more fun after I switched to this user-friendly layout.

I hope very much that not only me but also my dear guests are happy with this change. Are you?

And here is the header picture (from my lst Italy trip) – please note that it goes well with my new avatar 🙂

I LOVE STYLING! 🙂

LOVE, axinia
