How can we sustain a meditation throughout the day? August 1, 2013

A highly valuable recommendation  from the most amazing Guru, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi:

How can we sustain a meditation throughout the day?

“- You see, you are in meditation in a way. You are halfway in meditation and halfway not. Now if you try to develop a state of witness, then you are in meditation – just a state of witness. Whatever you see, just watch it. Just watching is the best way, and then you’ll be surprised that you will find that you are in another world, and these people are only in another world. You are seeing them from another world. Then you will have compassion for them, you will have pity for them, you may also not like them – it’s all these feelings will come up to you, but you’ll be a person who is separated from them.”

from Talk to Sahaja Yogis, Questions & Answers. Burwood, Sydney (Australia), 6 May 1987.

Based on my meditation experience I can confirm that this works indeed, but this is the first stage – at first one has to separate onceself from the rest, otherwise there is so much involvement. And the next stage, which comes automatically if one gets vibrations – you will feel complete ONE with the WHOLE, and there is no “the other”. Unfortunately this is not easy to reach in a daily life business, mostly only during a really good meditation. But we can always strive to .:)

How to get into meditation April 22, 2013

IMG_7674

This is a wonderful advise on how to get easy into a meditation, after your Kundalini has been awakened.

“Meditation means exposing yourself to God’s grace. The grace itself knows how to cure you. It knows how to mend you, how to settle down itself into your own being, how to keep your spirit kindled. It knows everything, so you do not have to worry as to what you have to do or what name you have to take, what mantras you have to do. In meditation you have to be absolutely effortless, expose yourself fully and you have to be absolutely thoughtless at that time.

If you are not thoughtless, at that time you have to just watch your thoughts, but do not get involved into them. You will find gradually, as when the sun rises, darkness goes away and the sun’s rays go into every part and make the whole place enlightened. In the same way, your being will be completely enlightened. But if you put in an effort at that time or try to stop something within you, it will not happen. Effortlessness is the only way into meditation, but you should not be lethargic about it. You should be alert and watch it.

The other side could be that people just doze off. You have to be alert. If you doze off nothing will work out. That is another side of it. If you are lazy about it, nothing will work out. You have to be alert and open, absolutely aware, completely effortless, absolutely effortless. If you are absolutely effortless, meditation will work the best.

Do not think about your problems at all. Just expose yourself to the vibrations. When the sun shines, all of nature exposes itself to the sun and receives the blessings of the sun effortlessly. It does not put in any effort. It just receives the sun. The sun’s rays start acting. In the same way, the all-pervading power starts working.”  by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

How to outsource your personal growth February 25, 2013

kundalini

What a nonsense, you may say. How a personal growth can be outsourced? This is something highly personal which entirely depends on our own efforts and learning abilities. And yet I would claim it can be outsourced, let me tell you why and how.

The basic driving force in the human evolution has always been learning from experiences. Either exploring environment or building up their living comforts, people has been learning by doing. Some experiences became a success, but many more have been mistakes. Especially as far as psychological issues are concerned, talking of experiences people mostly mean pain.

I guess each of us can confess that learning from a painful lesson is a long-term thing, often it takes  not one or two, but many similar cases in order to realize the mistake and change the behavior. Learning from pain is painful and this is the way we have been learning since ages.

Is there any other chance to grow? Can this long, boring and painful way be outsourced? Can we develop ourselves through any outside help and – this would be the best – effortlessly?

YES, WE CAN!

The cool thing is that each and everyone of us has “something” inside our being which is not our being itself,  but a kind of an external part which is ready and happy to take over and do the personal/spiritual growth job for free! This part is tremendously powerful and intelligent, and it knows exactly how to help us out, even in our daily matters.

The sages and enlightened seekers of the past all knew about it and described their experience with this power in various cultures and religions, all in the same way. In the Indian tradition in Sanskrit language it is called KUNDALINI (here you can find an excellent description of this fantastic power).

Now how does it work?

1.You get your Kundalini awakened (here – how exactly, easy and fast)

2.You let her (this is a female energy) do the job: rising upwards your spinal chord Kundalini clears out your energy centers/chakras and removes your problems. The best thing is you can almost always precept it physically!

So basically you sit down in a nice meditation for some 10-15 min mornings and evenings and while this your Kundalini works. The perfect outsource, isn’t it? You do nothing, she does it all. You get up fully refreshed, happy, fully of energy and bliss! And by practicing this for some time you will find out that not only your old problems vanish, but an actual personal growth takes place – slowly but steadily. Even within a year or two a person can change dramatically to the best! And that -again – without any painful experiences.

This is my observation done for over 17 years since my Kundalini has been awakened. Within this time I had a couple of painful experiences but as far as I can judge, I did not learn that much out of them. I learned much more from Kundalini itself – the power which she carries is truth, auspiciousness, holiness, chastity, self-respect, detachment, oneness, enlightened attention, compassion, pure love and joy. This is all what I was lucky not only to experience through the Kundalini work but gradually to imbibe and manifest in my personal growth. This would not be possible for me by a mere human “learning by doing”, at least not in one life time.

My (atypical?) motivation of becoming a mother January 1, 2013

IMG_4056.CR2

It’s not a secret that today many young women in the West are not keen on getting children. There may be various reasons for this trend and probably we will never find out the true one. The governments of the “dying out “countries are making efforts in order to motivate their women to have children. For instance, in the UK they allow to have a Cesarian upon a wish if the reason for avoiding birth is the fear of labour pains. In Austria they motivate well-off working women by the 75% maternity leave payment in the first year. In order to increase the birthrate in Russia the government grants a “reward” of about 9.200 Dollars for the second child. Obviously these methods motivate some women, but the general trend of a childless life is ongoing and shows no end.

I thought of sharing my experience of motherhood motivation hoping to inspire some women for the fantastic primordial female role.

To be honest, I never wanted to have a child. In particular, a child “of my own”. A desire of giving birth to someone who would resemble me and be the “flesh and blood” of mine seemed totally strange to me. I was ready even to adopt some children if necessary because I believed that “own” or not “own” child makes no difference –  every one can and should be loved the same way… After my husband and I have been happily married for 5 years we decided to think of a child, but not because “it was time” or surely not because “everyone gets children at some point” . We had somewhat different reasons.

I decided to go for a child for several boldly rational reasons, such as

  1. Good genes

My husband and me have good health and good psychological nature. We both come from happy families with strong pedagogical background. No alcohol, drugs or crime records 🙂 .

     2.  Life comfort

Having good jobs and living in the city of the highest quality of life in the world  we can offer a comfortable birth and life for a child.

     3. Strong value system

Having a solid value system of idealistic and humanitarian values we can offer a strong base for a happy and stable personality. A healthy mix of material and spiritual life secures a succesful and enjoyable substance of a future Earth citizen.

Having all that – why not share, why not pass on the bliss of a happy life?

However on top of my decision for a baby was something else: I wanted to raise a child as a global personality who would make this world to a better place. I wanted to welcome and lovingly host a soul of a high caliber who would actively participate in the current collective transformation of mankind.

Our daughter is 1 year and 9 months now and is a true delight. Interestingly, even now many people point out to me the unusual social skills of the baby. Already now it looks like she will grow into the personality I was desiring to give birth to. 🙂

The aim of Spirituality is Pleasure October 19, 2012

Even though Spirituality has become a trend and many householders (normal citizens, not ascetics) are seeking and finding their spiritual practices the understanding of it remains  a bit perverse: the mainstream and often the seekers themselves perceive Spirituality as the opposite to the pleasures of life. What a wrong idea indeed!

Now I would like to make a few statements that some people may find shocking. But let’s face it, this is what it is!

1. Any longing for self-development and evolution – which sooner or later anyways leads to a spiritual practice is the most egotistical acting because it means the INDULGENCE in the SELF. Seeking the Spirit and finding it is in fact the most powerful longing of a soul and is the driving force behind all uplifting actions.

2. Being a spiritual person means having a lot of FUN! In the light of the Spirit one sees many things differently, for instance angry or idiotic people just make one laugh. One starts not only seeing fun in many situations, but also enjoying situations which for a non-spiritual person may be unbearable. (more…)

How to free oneself from jelousy or bad-eye impact? October 11, 2012

IMG_2685

I wonder if such problem as envy/jealousy is common everywhere or only in some places? I know from living in Russia and Austria that both these folks admit having lots of jealousy within. In Russia understatements are very common because people are afraid to give some good news – what if some bad-eye will damage the luck? It is common not to tell even friends about plans. In Austria people are not that superstitious about airing plans but they seem to be quite envy towards success of their fellow men.

My approach has always been quite different from both these tendencies.

First of all, I don’t really know what envy/jealousy means, or how to feel it. If I see someone having something better than me, I start enjoying it and feel happy for that person.

Secondly – and that is the crucial point – I don’t need to “hide” information about my plans or success. I can openly tell anything to anyone and this will not bring any bad luck or problem. To make matter even more interesting – I sometimes proclaim something to have become already a success before it actually takes place and  it definitely happens!

I was wondering for  some time what is behind this mechanism, why so many people seem to be affected by bad eye or jealousy and me not… And recently I received an answer. I friend of mine gave an interesting idea that it has to do with me “not feeling guilty”.  Apparently Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi mentioned once that people who do not feel guilty are not affected by black magic or bad eye. Whatever it is but feeling quilty is indeed a common Western problem and I definitely stand out in this context. 🙂  In fact, the real attraction of this blog lays in this freshness of free-from-guilt feeling, as some people wrote to me. Poll on Willpower: is it ego, free will or spiritual power? May 1, 2012

Willpower  comes from “Will” which does not refer to one particular or most preferred desire but rather to the general capacity to have such desiderata and act decisively to achieve them, according to whatever criteria the willing agent applies.

One of the repeating questions discussed in the Western philosophical tradition since Christianization is the question of “free will“, and the related but more general notion of fate, which asks how will can be truly free if the actions of people have natural or divine causes which determine them, but which are not really under the control of people. The question is directly connected to discussions of what Freedom is, and also the “problem of evil“, because it brings into question whether people really cause their own acts.

In idealist models of reality, the material world is either non-existent or is a secondary artifact of the “true” world of ideas. In such worlds, it can be said that everything is an act of will. Even if you are arrested by the police, this is actually an act of your will, too; if you didn’t want it to happen, you could have decided otherwise.

And what is your option about it? Does the free will exist? If yes, how strong can it be?  Do you think many people possess it? If not why? – please share your ideas as a comment.

The Poll is for those who do not like to post a comment but happy to press a button 🙂

thanks!

The magic of human touch or don’t be afraid to handwork! April 9, 2012

Our advanced modern life has made us extremely lazy: by pressing  a button we can get so many things done. We invent gadgets that free us from physical work. We make our life easier and easier – but what about making it truly beautiful? I think that what gives a true beauty to life is something many people afraid of/or even hating that: a hand work, a physical effort or any kind.

Let’s see what impact physical work can make on things:

 NATURE

Cultivated gardens not only look pleasant but also emit peace. Forest taken care of by foresters look softer and more friendly that totally wild ones. Amazon river is full of dangerous fishes and animals because its banks are not crowded with people. On the contrary, the river Ganges has an amazing water quality and is not dangerous because since millenia human beings have been living and worshiping there.

OUR LOOKS

Even combing your hair can soften the expression of your face in the morning. There is an old beauty advice saying one should not look in the mirror in the morning before combing hair. Styling your hair properly will make you look as another person – if done everyday, works miracles on your good mood and positivity! A face given some basic care (oil or crème at least) daily is easy to differentiate from the one which is not treated that way. For women: Putting make up if not only a pleasant act of creativity like body painting but it adds to a face certain “value” which everyone can feel. (more…)
