The primordial archetype of the collective mind February 2, 2010

In spite of all the attempts to drive the Mother Goddess underground, or to eliminate her altogether, she still occupies the essential place in the collective mind. We should remember that our civilisation has arisen from the Neolithic culture, in which the Mother Goddess was the only deity. In this respect, our culture was not different for that which gave rise to the great civilisations of India, China and pre-Columbian America. We should not forget that, except for our own modern society, the Mother Goddesses been revered everywhere, and at all times.

This is what led C.G.Jung to recognise in the Mother the primordial archetype of the collective mind. His desciple, Erich Neumann, in his study of the archetype of the Mother Goddess recognised that the West neglected the matriarchal aspect of the collective consciousness and developed only the patriarchal aspect.

Every day thousands of people join blogosphere. Blogging is not just something new. It is the new way of living for those who choose that amazing way of expressing oneself and communicating with the world (online AND offline!). Now for those who still hesitate – to blog or not to blog? – I have put together some points that might be attractive. Why? Even if it determination is not your strength, you will have to learn it. What is great about blogging in that this learning process happens naturally, in the flow. Your blog will teach you to follow your ideas determinedly!

2. Commitment – oh, that is a gold-value quality today, when more and more modern people avoid committing themselves to any serous relationships. And blogging can become very serious when you will find out one day that there are hundreds/thousands of readers waiting for your next post out there! (more…)

I am not guilty! May 8, 2007

Feeling guilty is one of the most popular problems in the Western world (not sure about the East, would be great to hear some opinions). If you keep saying “sorry” – you are in the boat!

In the Christian tradition the feeling of guilt has been forced on the poor believers as a kind of an obligation. Being a woman, for example is a sin itself, they taught. Even if it was not the message of Christ – who was the compassion personified!- still it was a handy tool to control the “sheeps”.

The myth of guilt is rooted deeply in the collective consciousness, but it is only a myth. In fact, your true self – which is the reflection of the Divine – is never guilty. It is only if you act under the spell of the ego or conditioning you commit mistakes which give you the reason to feel guilty. In fact if is only the matter of wrong identification!

Feeling guilty is convenient, one can easily hide behind this pretty excuse. Suppose you have done something wrong – no sense in going around and moaning about it. There are two healthy ways to get out of it: (more…)
