1000 petals by axinia

I feel that I am sitting in a boat made of rose petals

being carried by the current of Divine Love

The current can be fast or slow

but I do not notice its speed

feeling so safe and comfortable

sitting cosy in the rose petals boat…

I watch the play of circumstances

on the left and the right river banks

And I feel having no worries at all.

But how can it be? Why?

May be because of the complete trust I feel

in this current, in people, in myself

I have an endless trust in the Divine Love

The love that is so gentle and powerful

so carrying and generous,

because it is

The love of the Mother.

The play of Male and Female February 10, 2010

This is an incredibly beautiful and profound poem from the Hindu Tradition of Advaita (non-dualism), by Jnanadev (1275 – 1296). I love the way it shows the play between the male and female elements in the Universe…

I offer obeisance to the God and Goddess,
The limitless primal parents of the universe.

They are not entirely the same,
Nor are they not the same.
We cannot say exactly what they are.

How sweet is their union!
The whole world is too small to contain them,
Yet they live happily in the smallest particle.

These two are the only ones
Who dwell in this home called the universe.
When the Master of the house sleeps,
The Mistress stays awake,
And performs the functions of both.

When He awakes, the whole house disappears,
And nothing at all is left.

Two lutes: one note.
Two flowers: one fragrance.
Two lamps: one light.

Two lips: one word.
Two eyes: one sight.
These two: one universe. (more…)

In the Beginning of Time January 21, 2010

In the beginning of time,

there rose from the churning of God’s dream two women.

One is the dancer at the court of paradise,

the desired of men, she who laughs and plucks the minds of the wise
from their cold meditations

and of fools from their emptiness;

and scatters them like seeds with careless hands in the extravagant
winds of March, in the flowering frenzy of May.

The other is the crowned queen of heaven,

 the mother, thronedon the fullness of golden autumn;

she who in the harvest-time
brings straying hearts to the smile sweet as tears,

the beauty deep as the sea of silence,

-brings them to the temple of the Unknown,
at the holy confluence of Life and Death.

‘I am in Love with Love…and Love is in Love with me.

My body is in love with the Soul….and the Soul is in love with my body.

I opened my arms to Love….and Love embraced me….like a lover..’

The poetry of a Fall leaf November 2, 2009

The Fall’s fallen leaves bring me into a poetic mood

There is some special attraction in them,

while they are covering the earth so gentle…

The Fall’s fallen leaves bring me into philosophic mood

There is some special attraction in them,

while they are laying down the earth so free…

A fallen leaf reminds me of a mature person

That has the ego no more

A person that has become so wise

That is gets free from all boundaries

And humbly bows down to the Mother Earth

Touching its velvet skin with the golden light

Of the fallen leaf’s heart…

The poem to give to your mom – Mother’s day poem October 17, 2009

God created mother coz

He can’t be present everywhere…

But I feel god made mother coz,

He can’t fill that place…

never have I learnt anything

than in her cradle

never I felt any love,

than in her cuddle…

the stairway to heaven in her mothers lap

the doorway of love is in her eyes (more…)

Do you practice Love? July 30, 2009

Piousness and the path of love
are two different roads.
Love is the fire that burns both belief
and non-belief.
Those who practice Love have neither
religion nor caste.

The strange thing about love is that it cannot be expressed July 7, 2009

I wonder if this feeling is familiar to everyone who have been lucky to experience love (to one person or to many people at once)? – in love it feels like…it is impossible to express this vast feeling!

Whatever one may do (expressing tenderness, giving presents, saying words of love, wiring and singing songs etc.), it is only a tiny little amount of what one really feels…

Sometimes, when love overwhelms the heart and grows till the sky, it melts with the surroundings and becomes ONE with the Whole. And one feels like crying because this bliss of true love wants to be expressed  in a magnificent, all-transforming way… And yet it can never be fully expressed…Why? (more…)

Poems by Lord Budha: The Saint May 10, 2009

There is no suffering for the one
who has completed the journey,
who is freed from sorrow,
who has freed oneself on all sides,
who has thrown off all chains.

The thoughtful exert themselves;
they do not delight in a home;
like swans who have left their lake,
they leave their house and home.

Those who have no accumulations, who eat properly,
who have perceived release and unconditioned freedom,
their path is difficult to understand,
like that of birds in the sky.
Those whose passions are stilled,
who are indifferent to pleasure,
who have perceived release and unconditioned freedom,
their path is difficult to understand,
like that of birds in the sky. (more…)
