GENERATION S

They live almost the same life as others. You will not check them out of the crowd by their funny dress – they look quite ordinary. They behave as normal, nice people – you will not notice anything special at first sight. However a little more attentive look will identify this new generation.

Positive thinking? No, thank you!

I am probably one of the most positive people you have ever met (even being able to claim that is a sign, isn’t it). In fact I think positive all the time and it is difficult for me to see a problem somewhere where most of the people see it. But since I heard about the concept of positive thinking several years ago I keep opposing that theory, trying to explain the unnatural character of it. Here are some quite strong arguments.

I do not believe in God.

I do not belive in God. And I never did.

I grew up in the Soviet Union with my both parents being convinced atheists. However my grand-grandparents who were born and grew up in Czar Times, were very religious. One grand-grandmother was known to be a holy person in her village; another one could heal with praying.

 Once, when I was 8 years old, I bet with my grand-grandma Nura (who was a deeply religious Christian-orthodox) that God did not exist. I said: “I will spit now in the sky. If there is God he will punish me immediately!” – Nothing happened afterwards; I won the bet and was even more convinced in my atheism.

Freedom is Ego

Freedom is the favorite mantra of the western society. It is the magical word people use left and right to explain their most odd interests and ideas. Freedom is on top of the value system. But how can anybody be free and make choices based on so called freedom when he does not know himself??

We feel that we are free to make our choices: the choice between toast or sandwich or maybe the choice between pizza or pasta. Fine.

Now the clothing: how can we be free persons if we are actually forced to buy the things that are right now in, otherwise we just don’t get anything else in the shops.

No need to mention so called political freedom when every President selections our poor brains are being manipulated to such extend that God save us from knowing it in details!

Why innocent people have less problems

“Children have no problems” goes the common saying, for children are (normally) taken care of, they (normally)  don’t need to work or basically do no face that cruel big world outside. It is the power of innocence that protects children from most of the troubles. As children grow up, the problems seem to grow with them. Or at least with most of them.

There are people who, like they say, never grow up. I do not mean those who, being adults have “childish” hobbies or behave like naughty children. I mean those, who never grow old with their innocence, who are children at heart. What I noticed is that such people indeed have less problems, in any aspect of life.

What is on top of your value system?

This question could be even more crucial than one can think. For it is our value system that  leads us in our daily lives and rules our decisions.

There are psychological tests helping you to identify your primary values. But let me tell you what kind of a simple test I found for myself.

Since my childhood my highest motivation has been to become better, to develop myself as much as possible. As I grew up in the Soviet Union, I was deeply atheistic and luckily not conditioned by any religion. But at the age of 20 I suddenly realized that it was actually SPIRITUALITY I was looking for. I was a seeker of truth and wanted to find my spirit.

 Pouring love down is so… exciting!

How often do we feel love? True love, pure love, unconditional love? Someone said that Love is something what multiplies when you share it. And how very true it is!

I have noticed that to increase the amount of love in my life has become so easy since I… pour it down around myself. The Love grows like a snowball and creates a kind of a buffer around me, and whatever happens  – many negative things just can not pierce through! Feeling love, giving love, accepting love becomes such an exiting occupation. Can it be THE RULE of the game of life that we all trying to find out?

What is really wrong with capitalism? Or Why I believe in communism.

Capitalism, Neo-Liberalism, Corporatism – call it whatever, I personally have a big difficulty with the kind of a system I live in. One of the reasons for that difficulty can be that I spent my childhood and youth in a society that was not driven by money and consumption (at least not to that extend like in the West). It seemed to me that people – because they were not that stressed to make money and to spend them – lived happier, enjoyed more and appreciated the human values like friendship, family, creativity.

 Why nobody can offend me

Can you believe that? That no one can offend me? That I was never ever offended in my life? And that I live a normal human life on this planet Earth? Whether you can believe me or not, it is the fact: the phenomenon of being offended is unknown to me.

I wrote something about my childhood experiences with that matter here, I mean I was aware of that thing long time ago. However only recently I could really understand the roots of this phenomenon – and that is the reason I want to share such a personal insight with the vast Internet community.

The results of my introspection are both funny and in a way controversial.

It is the new way of living for those who choose that amazing way of expressing oneself and communicating with the world (online AND offline!). Awesome photos from my divine holidays

When I came back from my truly divine holidays I found in my camera almost only the awesome shots of the sunsets, clouds and landscapes. Although I met a couple of thousands of people, my attention was obviously somewhere else…

Our life is full of manifestations of Divine. However it is the majestic pictures of landscapes or skyscapes that makes us understand the UNITY OF THE WHOLE. It does good to see that there is a life behind the clouds, that there are masterpieces of art and fantastic scenes beyond our knowledge and imagination. It is good to know that there is still so much to discover and to enjoy – and this is the secret story behind.

Our success-oriented society is hard to withstand. Hardly anyone wants to be a looser. But what factors bring success – hard work? luck? connections? all of them together? or it is something else?

In the yogic life there is a concept of “detachment”- and this is something which opposes the modern logic. Detachment means ” not to desire” something, just go with the flow…Not to persist on something, not to try to reach anything… just do whatever the life/God/destiny wants you to do…

People who know me distantly are all sure I am a typical career-woman (! :)) and therefore successful. People who know me closer understand, that it is not the case.

Giving and forgiving: one case study

Today is the Easter in Russia, and may be that is why I can’t leave the topic of forgiving. One intresting example I just experienced last week: it fits so well the theme and may be will help one or the other to overcome this greatest hurdle of non-forgiving.

Some days ago I was accused of doing something I definitly did not do – at least not on purpose. The thought of someone accusing me of doing something what is against my principles was not a pleasant one. Obviously it was a misunderstanding, and it had to be cleared. The next day I went shopping for a friend’s birthday present and suddenly saw a lovely tie.

My spiritual birthday today

On the 10th of December 1995 I got my self-realisation, my second birth. It was a day that changed my life. No, such a stupid expression. The experience of that day, unfolding every next day gave me the true meaning of my life.

As I mentioned in my earlier posts, I have always been a seeker. A seeker of Truth. I was born in an atheistic family and actually never believed in God. But I was seeking something – how many of you know that feeling!..

I was very much into psychology, astrology, theory of yoga and all that stuff, you know. But it gave me no answer. It was only theory, and I wanted something REAL. Some real, true experience. Some gulp of fresh waters…

I love the country of my parents – it is my soul and my pride

I love the country of my birth – it is my sweetness and memory

I love the country of my life – it is my cosyness and beauty

 Vibrations is like a toy which is always with you

I met a child, a boy of 10 years who has got his realisation and enjoyed feeling vibrations. When i told him what actually one can do with vibrations, he got even more fascinated an exclaimed “I know now, vibrations is like a toy which is always with you!” – it was sooooo sweet and so much to the point 🙂 I heard many comments on vibrations but never such a candid and lovely one…

But what did I tell to the child?  – What can one do with vibrations?

Let me shortly remind you what vibrations is. Normally vibrations is being percepted like a sensation of a gentle cool breeze in one’s hands, on top of one’s head or sometimes around the body. Sometimes it can be warm or even hot. Never heard of that? You can try it out here (intreactive presentation).

Russia’s Seven Wonders exposed

Russia tries to revive patriotism and love to the motherland in its citizens. The celebration of the Independence day yesterday, 12 June was crowned by the announcement of the Russia’s Seven Wonders. The country-wide voting has been done online and via sms since 1. February 2008, more than 25 million of Russians voted for their favourites.

As I found no information about it in English (!), I desided to blog about it and packed some short texts and pictures together in a post  – for all those who want to know something positive about Russia …

 What marriage really does to people

I am a passionate believer in the marriage institution. I posted already several articles on that fascinating topic, but some new ideas keep coming up. So let me continue with praising this truly beautiful and deep form of human relationships.

Despite the growing anti-marriage tendencies in the society and general crisis of this institution, the sacredness of marriage keeps attracting people of all cultures. There are several reasons I can think of in that respect, the reasons I described already in “Marriage: made in heaven”. This time I want to share with you one more reason, which is obviously not that well known, although lays on the surface of the subject.

Why every man should serve in the army

That is quite a hard statement and probably even shocking for most of my beloved readers… But let me give you some reasons for that personal belief of mine.

1. An army as an institution is not about making war. That is a totally wrong concept. In the first line it is about protection, for safety is the second basic need according to the well known Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

2. Despite of the cultural diversity, it is very common in many countries that the education of boys is mostly being done by women (home and school). If a boy has a father living in a family (which is even not always the case! ), he sees the father far too seldom. Thus the male role model is often missing. In the army they have enough male educators.

3. They say, boys start a good friendship with a good fight. Boys are not that good with soft skills of socializing like girls. Boys need leadership and discipline probably more that women.

Cool Vibrations

Everyone who has felt cool vibrations reports the same feelings: a pleasant cool wind blowing in one’s hands, on top of one’s head or sometimes around the body. Millions of people who have got their self-realisation can prove that, even if they do not practice Sahaja Yoga. Although self-realisation is being given a-mass since the last 37 years, there is not much information about cool vibrations on Internet. Here is my small contribution to this very special topic.

What fascinates me the most about the whole thing is that:

1. Cool vibrations are the material manifestation of spirituality to me (material because it can be not only felt but also measured with the modern medical technology)

2. I can not influence feeling cool vibrations!  – vibrations can be also hot, or warm, or less pleasant. Whatever I percept, i cannot influence it with my will or mental power. I cannot command it! Either it is cool or not. Truly amazing!

 If you love people, their lives improve!

Another exiting thing I discovered recently: the power of love acting.

If you love a person (I mean not the romantic love but the true human love you can feel towards anyone), what happens is that your attention flows toward this person. Whenever you think of that person, it is only the energy of love that flows into him/her… Than again, because of your loving attention you just notice the things a person needs or wants, and you enjoy arranging for that things for this person.

Why women love generous men

Most women love generous men. At least I never met any who does not (please let me know if you are a woman and disagree with that).

Are men actually aware of that fact? And if not than why? Because the ladies keep silent on the topic?

I love making private social studies with my friends and colleagues. One of the most popular topics – of course! – the gender relationships (actually I have another blog dedicated to that topic). According to my oral surveys through years, most of the girls consider 2 main thing the most important: RELIABILITY and GENEROSITY. 

My favorite topic is generosity (as reliability goes without saying!). Why generosity is so important for ladies?

What is Thoughtless Awareness?

Thoughtless awareness. The state I often refer to and regard as the source of amazing states of my being like joy, bliss, easiness of existence and love.

Thoughtless awareness has been described by Buddha and the Sufi’s of North Africa as also by Saints in India such as Eknath and Gyanadeva.

This state is a higher state of awareness which bisects the past and the future. Usually human beings are most of the time unable to enter the present because the mind is either thinking about the future (Ego) or the past (Superego). Interestingly, we are only in a present when we watch something in admiration, or enjoy some action to its full measure (like a child).

In the state of thoughtless awareness we are free to think about whatever we want but we don’t have unwanted thoughts in our mind at all, we have complete control over our mind. Our mind becomes very relaxed yet completely focused on any tasks we need to perform in our daily lives.

Today the talks of intercultural/cross-cultural communication are getting more and more popular: East and West, South and North are facing each other closer, trying to check out the differences for better understanding. What comes out of it has mostly the following leitmotive: “We are so much different; culture has impact on everything; always watch out the culture factor; religious background explaines everything; religions are so different, no wonder there are missunderstandings…” And so on…

Some time ago I was very keen on such topics and used to find my pleasure in revealing astonishing cultural differences to my friends or clients. However at some point I realised that it all leads only to separation and not to understanding and collaboration!

Who is Mr. Ego?

My recent post “Freedom is Ego” seems to be too refreshing and I promissed to my dear readers to follow up with the topic.

I made a point that almost all the choices we make are ego-based. That means that this so-called freedom is also ego-based and in fact it is mostly only our ego that is free to choose!

The true freedom is only possible outside the ego-games, but this is not clear until one experienced it in the realm of spirituality…

Mr.Ego is ruling over people, every minute of that crazy daily life. But how can we identify him?

The confusing easiness of English Language

“English is such an easy language to learn, you will manage it in a short time!” – goes a common advice of those who have learned English. Nothing doing!  It may seem easy but only for beginners.  English attracts with a seeming lack of complexity and simple forms: only 2 cases, two articles, simple sentences…

What a great delusion!  Being one of the richest languages with about 1 Million words English has a complex structure when it comes to an advanced level.  

The mastery of speaking English lays in saying 20 words in a sentence of 10.  It does not mean you should say 3 words in a sentence. You should be able to say a lot saying little – actually the highest art of communication!

 The abuse of joy

 The word “joy” has been terribly abused since 20th century.

Searching for “joy” on Google I first saw nothing less than links to pornosites and then all sorts of selling…

Joy sells.

It seems like it is what people want the most. Such an abuse of this powerful and bubbling with colors (or may be it is only pink?) word makes me sad… What kind of joy they want to sell?

And what does Wikipedia say? ´” Joy is an emotion of great happiness”. Is it an emotion?

I would say – no!
