5 spiritual qualities which grant success in material life August 26, 2013

Spirituality has become a popular word and yet in the mainstream understanding it is still something “unpractical, unreal”. I would like to point out several interesting moments about the practical side of spirituality.

When the spiritual base of a person is touched and developing, some qualities start manifesting more stronger, clearer. It is not that non-spiritual people don’t have these qualities, but just see for yourself:

1.ATTENTION Having a good attention is crucial for all sorts of jobs and daily life. Normally the attention of a person is much disturbed and overloaded, or spread. A spiritual person always keeps attention on his/her inner being, reflecting/introspecting every single minute. This is a great attention training.  A master of attention can do so many things only by pointing out this fantastic instrument to the right direction. Literary, it save much time and efforts in accomplishing any task.

2.AWARENESS Being aware of what you are and what is happening around is obviously important but few people possess that. Awareness helps in every situation, but in particular it makes us alert and attentive. And this means being efficient!

3. TRUST A spiritual person is the one who is easily being trusted by everyone. Why? Because a spiritual person is always sincere, innocent and benevolent. And trust is the soil of all relationships, and thus the important condition for any success, For people are everything.

4. FLOW A spiritual person is almost permanently in the flow – it is known as the state of “being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz. Your whole being is involved, and you’re using your skills to the utmost.” This is what everyone wishes to have but a spiritual person achieves easily because he/she is “tuned” with the Divine and everything goes smoothly when the “instrument” is really well tuned.

5. LOVE As trivial as it may sound, but the ability to love people it is the greatest power of all, and it is crucial that a truly spiritual person loves everyone, not just his family and friends…or God (for God and people are actually one and the same thing). The love which flows from the open heard of an enlightened personality opens the hears and inspires everyone around. This love elevates! No wonder everybody coming across this sources of love is bathing in it and is ready to assist in everything possible. Thus tasks are easily accomplished and all is well :).

There are surely more qualities, this 5 just came to my mind first. As you see there is nothing unusual in them, but the amount and the intensity of these qualities are mostly stronger in the people of Spirit therefore they can actually have a wonderful life in the realm of material success and comfort.

How I wonderfully managed my communication lot August 21, 2013

I am in one of the most communication-loaded professions, people management. This would mean talking, talking and talking. however the average time I spend on the phone daily is only about 1 (!) hour.  Happy to share with you some tricks about managing communication.

1. Phone talks are unhealthy and limiting in expression. 70% of all talks many people do on the phone I outsourced to Internet: I prefer writing short messages  or long detailed emails, depending on the case – this saves my time and the time of the counter part. People have more chances to think over the message. It is also more convenient because today when almost everyone owns a smartphone, a written message can be read practically any time. While writing emails it is crucial to give the topic in the header as exact as possible, so the reader can see the relevance of the message. Another important thing about written communication: please always give feedback!!! ALWAYS. People should know you have received the message, it makes them feel comfortable and appreciated.

2. I prefer “LIVE” communication to any other. Therefore I just try to MEET people. Thanks to my job I always meet new people and maintain relationships with the good “old” ones. Going out for lunch, meeting after work, inviting to my place, going out on weekends…There are lots of chances to meet up. And this is most important!

3. There people whom I like so much that I really want to meet them more often.  And also to let them meet each other! So I came to an idea of organizing my “own” club 🙂 I invite interesting people (either my job candidates, or clients, or just my good friends) once in a month, we all meet for clubbing ina nice quiet location. Since the group is “pre-selected” by high professional and ethical standards, it is a great pleasure and fun to meet up regularly. Many interesting ideas and project emerge out of these positive gatherings.

4. Being active in Social Networks also helps a lot. Every now and then I post some “private” information, limited but regularly, so people who are not close friends but know me personally  are updated about my life changes. It is important not to overdo  or not to under-do that.

5. Thanks to my blog www. 1000petals.wordpress.com which i run since 6 years I have gained many new friends (online and offline) who also appreciate this kind of communication. Blogging is a great tool no doubt! My readers like to refer to my posts and discuss them with me personally, also outside the blogosphere.

P.S: When meeting someone for the frist time I normally take time and we talk at least about 1-2 hours. This helps to deeply understand the person and see to the roots. It helps establishing the trust. Normally after one such meeting the person always remembers me and is happy to coöperate any time and is much easier to handle in communication (needs less time to accomplish things!).

These are my little tricks. And what is helping you?

Amazing affinity of Russian and Sanskrit August 18, 2013

The linguistically proven facts show the amazing affinity of Russian and Sanskrit languages, obviously pointing out that these two languages must have lived closed together in some periods of antiquity.

Dr. Weer Rajendra Rishi (1917 – 2002) was a well known Indian linguist. He was fluent in Russian and worked in the Indian Embassy in Moscow between 1950—1952. Dr. Rishi was the author of (1) Russian-Hindi Dictionary (foreword by the late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru), (2) Russian Grammar in Hindi, (3) Russian Folklore in Hindi (4) Hindi translation of Pushkin’s poem ‘Gypsy‘, (5) Marriages of the Orient, (6) Roma—The Punjabi Emigrants in Europe, the USSR, the Americas etc. (7) Romani-Punjabi-English Conversation Book, (8) Romani-Punjabi-English Dictionary and (9) Multi-Lingual Romani Dictionary (Romani Hindi English French Russian).

One of his last works was a book India & Russia – Linguistic & Cultural Affinity. This book is now very rare and it is undeservingly forgotten so I would like to bring it back as a tribute to Dr. Weer Rajendra Rishi.

The book has XIII chapters but it is Chapter II Affinity in Language which is, in my view, the most interesting part of the book. These are some excerpts from this chapter:

“As mentioned in the preceding chapter both Russian and Sanskrit belong to the satem group of the Indo-European family of languages. This, however, creates one mis-understanding in one’s mind that the relation between Sanskrit and Russian is as distant one as that between Sanskrit and other Indo-European languages. As will be explained in this chapter, the relation between these two languages is very close and correspondence between these two languages is so minute that, to use Dr. Sidheshwar Varma’s words, it cannot be a mere chance*.

“In the sphere of vocabulary, there is such a large number of words which are common to these two languages that it has not been possible to mention all of them in this chapter. Only a list of basic words common to both these two languages has been given. Moreover, as explained in the succeeding paragraphs of this chapter many of the grammatical rules are common to both these languages and the number of words common to these two languages formed after the application of such common grammar rules could be further multiplied. This is not so when we compare Sanskrit with any other language belonging to the Indo-European group, leaving aside Iranian and Persian.“(p.14)

“That the melodiousness of the rhythm of the Russian folklore and the Sanskrit verse synchronises with each other is confirmed by a news item published in the Soviet Land (No. 2 of January 1968) published by the Information Services of the Embassy of the USSR in India, New Delhi. It is stated that the style of the verse of Russian folk legends and Puskin’s tales is closer to the rhythm of Sanskrit verse. Professor Smirnov (1892— 1967), the reputed Sanskritologist of the Soviet Union has translated Mahābhārata into Russian in this type of verse. Professor Smirnov had with him a recording of an extract from the Mahābhārata read in Sanskrit original by Professor Nirmal Chandra Maitra of India to the accompaniment of Indian instruments. When after playing the recording of the Sanskrit version, Professor Smirnov read his Russian translation, the enchanting melody of the rhythm was found to be very much like that of the Sanskrit original as read by Professor Nirmal Chandra Maitra and sounded in unison.“(p.16)

On the following pages Dr. Rishi gave some interesting comparisons of Russian and Sanskrit noun declension, verbs, prefixes and suffixes, prepositions concluding the chapter by an impressive list of Russian- Sanskrit common words. The full text of this chapter can be found here.

The list of nouns here.

This interesting information I reposted from borissof blog.

How can we sustain a meditation throughout the day? August 1, 2013

A highly valuable recommendation  from the most amazing Guru, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi:

How can we sustain a meditation throughout the day?

“- You see, you are in meditation in a way. You are halfway in meditation and halfway not. Now if you try to develop a state of witness, then you are in meditation – just a state of witness. Whatever you see, just watch it. Just watching is the best way, and then you’ll be surprised that you will find that you are in another world, and these people are only in another world. You are seeing them from another world. Then you will have compassion for them, you will have pity for them, you may also not like them – it’s all these feelings will come up to you, but you’ll be a person who is separated from them.”

from Talk to Sahaja Yogis, Questions & Answers. Burwood, Sydney (Australia), 6 May 1987.

Based on my meditation experience I can confirm that this works indeed, but this is the first stage – at first one has to separate onceself from the rest, otherwise there is so much involvement. And the next stage, which comes automatically if one gets vibrations – you will feel complete ONE with the WHOLE, and there is no “the other”. Unfortunately this is not easy to reach in a daily life business, mostly only during a really good meditation. But we can always strive to .:)

LOVE, and LOADS of it!
