The aim of Spirituality is Pleasure October 19, 2012

Even though Spirituality has become a trend and many householders (normal citizens, not ascetics) are seeking and finding their spiritual practices the understanding of it remains  a bit perverse: the mainstream and often the seekers themselves perceive Spirituality as the opposite to the pleasures of life. What a wrong idea indeed!

Now I would like to make a few statements that some people may find shocking. But let’s face it, this is what it is!

1. Any longing for self-development and evolution – which sooner or later anyways leads to a spiritual practice is the most egotistical acting because it means the INDULGENCE in the SELF. Seeking the Spirit and finding it is in fact the most powerful longing of a soul and is the driving force behind all uplifting actions.

2. Being a spiritual person means having a lot of FUN! In the light of the Spirit one sees many things differently, for instance angry or idiotic people just make one laugh. One starts not only seeing fun in many situations, but also enjoying situations which for a non-spiritual person may be unbearable. (more…)

How to free oneself from jelousy or bad-eye impact? October 11, 2012

IMG_2685

I wonder if such problem as envy/jealousy is common everywhere or only in some places? I know from living in Russia and Austria that both these folks admit having lots of jealousy within. In Russia understatements are very common because people are afraid to give some good news – what if some bad-eye will damage the luck? It is common not to tell even friends about plans. In Austria people are not that superstitious about airing plans but they seem to be quite envy towards success of their fellow men.

My approach has always been quite different from both these tendencies.

First of all, I don’t really know what envy/jealousy means, or how to feel it. If I see someone having something better than me, I start enjoying it and feel happy for that person.

Secondly – and that is the crucial point – I don’t need to “hide” information about my plans or success. I can openly tell anything to anyone and this will not bring any bad luck or problem. To make matter even more interesting – I sometimes proclaim something to have become already a success before it actually takes place and  it definitely happens!

I was wondering for  some time what is behind this mechanism, why so many people seem to be affected by bad eye or jealousy and me not… And recently I received an answer. I friend of mine gave an interesting idea that it has to do with me “not feeling guilty”.  Apparently Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi mentioned once that people who do not feel guilty are not affected by black magic or bad eye. Whatever it is but feeling quilty is indeed a common Western problem and I definitely stand out in this context. 🙂  In fact, the real attraction of this blog lays in this freshness of free-from-guilt feeling, as some people wrote to me. Water qualities in human beings October 1, 2012

Filed under: thoughts — axinia @ 12:16 am

We all know that human being consists to a great percentage of water. Interestingly, it differs from age to age: Babies have the most, being born at about 78%. By one year of age, that amount drops to about 65%. In adult men, about 60% of their bodies
are water.Water is a very great element in removing all problems. In adult women, about 55% of their bodies made of water.

Water as an element plays a huge role not only in our body but in our entire life. There are plenty of research books, films, all forts of information about it. But little is known about the subtle manifestation of water, about its “psychological” nature in a human being.

I have found several amazing quotations on this subject in one the Sri Mataji Nirmala Devi lectures (1981, Diwali, UK), truly wonderful and inspiring words.

Water is a very great element in removing all problems…How do we like to have a bath or to be clean and to be presentable? In the same way we should try to clean our thoughts. Just by paying attention to them, we can clean them.” (more…)
