I cancel the doomsday! August 31, 2012

I feel that it’s time to cancel the doomsday, because the game is over, we won.

Why? How? What?

Let me explain it here.

Five years back I was one of the first to spread the word about the doomsday in December 2012 (my post here) – at least by that time Google showed my post among the first results on this topic. Some time after a big hype about the Mayan Calender and the End of Time made the mainstrim think of some deeper questions about their being and existence.

My perception of the recent 5 years is that the time is spinning so fast and everything is changing so rapidly!… I have been watching  social networks for peoples reflections on themselves and the outside world for some years now and here are my obervations:

  • spirituality has finally became mainstream, or at least something “natural”, it has become a word for many people; earlier it was mostly connected only to religion.
  • even in business spiritual awareness is rising (one of the most popular professional networks in Europe, XING has over 4.200 members in a group “spirituality and business”, almost same situation on the biggest Anglo-Saxon network LinkedIn).
  • today many people are aware of the fact that “one has to forgive” to live happily… alas, it took people over 2.000 years after Jesus Christ brought that message to realise that. Interestingly, even some decades ago that forgiveness was not in collective awareness that much as today. And it is growing!
  • all in all, the number of spiritually aware people is terrific! – everywhere I look I see them, meet them, read about them. When the first modern wave of spirituality came in 60-70s, these people were considered ” a bit funny” – now being spiritual means being normal, even fashionable! Isn’t it a great awareness shift?
  • not only spirituality, but general kindness and goodness of people is increasing: at least what I know from the West is that the numbers are people selflessly doing any non-paid service to the society are huge! Only in Austria 44 % of population works for free in various projects and non-profit organization beyond their regular jobs. (more…)

My greatest luxury – awesome people as family and friends! August 25, 2012

Today is my birthday and it is a good chance to introspect and see what one’s current state is. And when I think of my life I see my great luck with awesome people.

To start with the family, I was born to an “easy” family without any problems, my parents have been so loving and caring to each other and to us, children. To be born in a happy family is such a blessing!

My mother is a true mother as one should be – at least this is what I always felt. A perfect mother archetype, just AWESOME!

My father has this rare type of personality holding all best qualities a man can have: along with brilliance, good heart and great humour he is always in a balanced positive state of mind and soul. During his army service he was close to death several times but this had no impact on his amazing nature… He is still full of life, love and good health. My ribute to him is here. AWESOME!

My sister is a highly talented singer of a great caliber and I am sure one day the world will also see it. But above her singin is the enchanting beauty of her soul… Her amazing story is here. AWESOME!

My dearest husband is the perfect husband as I always wanted (although I did not really choose him, it was arranged). My tribute to him is here. AWESOME!

My daughter is a brilliant bundle of joy, full of fun and love for life. AWESOME!

My best friend is such a gem of beauty, love and sweetness, the embodiment of a friend-archetype, so adorable and caring… My tribute to her is here. AWESOME!

My spiritual friends are living saints, in true sense of this word  – although they live like modern people  thier evolutionary level is far beyond masses and just being with them is a special blissful experience. AWESOME!

My boss is the most amazing business person of all I have seen – the person with a unique combination of a cool clear “business” head and a warm heart, compassionate and caring, giving and forgiving. AWESOME!

All my close friends and acquaintances are beautiful, smart and talented people keen on self-development and Spirituality. AWESOME!

And finally, all people who come across my way are just amazing with their fascinating stories, talents, sorrows and joys…

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL and I am so thankful for this true luxury, enjoying so many awesome personalities, great souls on my way.

LOVE, and forever

They call it a lifehack August 20, 2012

They call it a lifehack: As you know, lifehacks are anything that is a solution to an everyday problem, frustration, etc.

Meditation is a true lifehack because it makes you feel good every day and sets free the hidden powers within.

The next big thing is that it gives you a knowledge how to manage difficult situations easily, and even improves your health improves your and relationships with people.

On top of it, a meditation practice makes you an admirable and attractive and that makes you succeed easily in anything you want (studies, jobs, people).

People who practice meditation over years have notices several advantages meditation brings into the daily life management:

Fist of all, your attention improves. A sharper attention allows you to grasp ideas easier, you just put your attention on to some subject, and you can understand the depth of the matter and notice the facts much easier than usual. The fact is that people who meditate need less time to lean any difficult subject compared to others.

Meditation can definitely make you more balanced and happy. People will love being with you! You’ll get more chances. Everyone welcomes you and is eager to assist and recommend you.
The meditation practice gives you a fantastic ability to see things how they are, beyond any mass media brainwash. ARE WE POSSESSED? August 8, 2012

C. G. Jung, the great doctor of the soul and one of the most inspired psychologists of the twentieth century, had incredible insight into what is currently playing out, both individually and collectively, in our modern-day world. He writes, “If, for a moment, we look at mankind as one individual, we see that it is like a man carried away by unconscious powers.” We are a species carried away — “possessed” by — and acting out, the unconscious. Jung elaborates, “Possession, though old-fashioned, has by no means become obsolete; only the name has changed. Formerly they spoke of ‘evil spirits,’ now we call them ‘neurosis’ or ‘unconscious complexes.’”

To condescendingly think that we, as modern-day, rational people, are too sophisticated to believe in something as primitive as demons is to have fallen under the spell of the very evil spirits we are imagining are nonexistent. What the ancients call demons are a psychic phenomena which compel us to act out behaviors contrary to our best intentions. To quote Jung, “…the psychic conditions which breed demons are as actively at work as ever. The demons have not really disappeared but have merely taken on another form: they have become unconscious psychic forces.”

“Possession,” according to Jung is “a primordial psychic phenomenon” that “denotes a peculiar state of mind characterized by the fact that certain psychic contents, the so-called complexes, take over the control of the total personality in place of the ego, at least temporarily, to such a degree that the free will of the ego is suspended.” (more…)

Is it true that Russians have the strongest will power? August 2, 2012

Again I am  here with the will power topic. Recently I talked to one American friend about handling difficult situations of “mental discussions” – when you keep arguing with someone in your thoughts, and the person has no idea about it. Apparently it is a widely spread phenomenon. When people cannot speak out they prefer to discuss it “within”. This thing can definitely make one mad!

I remember having such an experience only once in my life, some years back – for two moths I could not stop thinking about some conflict situation. Even though I have a long-term mediation experience, this work-related relationship issue was such a torn! I applied all possible yogic techniques, nothing helped. Every free minute when I was not directly busy with something else, I kept giving my arguments to the person I had an issue with. Isn’t it idiotic? At some point I was so fed up with it and really did not know what to do. And then…I decided to apply my WILL POWER : I started stopping this thinking immediately when I noticed it rising up. The next second I would say “stop it now” and indeed, I managed to completely diminish the issue by using my will power only!

When I gave this example to my American friend and ask him why don’t other people use their will power for solving hard problems, he said: “Well you know this is a very Russian thing, Russians have strong intellect and can use it powerfully. The Western people are weaker in that, they would moan and groan about and go to a psychologist/psychotherapists and wait until someone else will bring the relief. I know several Russians who solved their problems like you did but I don’t know any Westerner who would do that”. (more…)
