I have been missing snow in the last years here in Vienna. Somehow it became warmer and warmer year by year. Suddenly in 2010 just to the calendar begin of winter we have received a wonderful present   –  much snow, even in the city!

Here is my small slidewhow of the recent pictures, hopefully I will take many more of the snowy ones this season.

LOVE; axinia

  1. Beautiful yes, But also frozen fingers bringing the wood in, and cold nights wrapped in blankets. Some died.

While sitting in a comfort of our rooms, it is easy to enjoy the snow pictures – we need just to close the eyes, yet that’s the hardest thing to do – snow beauty depicts the world’s attempts to survive . Winter express the challenge that awakes and calls us to resistance.
I rejoice at your ability to smile, to find beauty in the … death.
    Best wishes from Tomas’ sketchbook

Hi! nice to meet you. Your pics are beautiful.

  9. Nice pictures, but I wonder how the trees even survive that kind of winter! Here, there is a small change from summerish climate to slight cold (around 25 degrees) and many of us have caught cold!!

The two photos with trees on both sides with snow on the branches were exceptionally good! 🙂
