In order to enhance communication and mutual understanding it’s quite helpful to be able to grasp some characteristics about a person at the beginnig of a conversation or even relationship.

When we communicate, we often speak about 2 things: weather and other people. Have you ever thought that by being attentive to how people talk about these 2 things one can say a huge lot about their personalities?

1.What do we say when making a note on a current weather condition:

we manifest what we feel at the moment, as well as your generall state: are we happy, satisfied, bored, sad, etc.

Discussing the weather, especially with strangers helps to express the emotion about our state of being and actually signalizes it to others.

For instance, it’s a well know fact that happy people enjoy any kind of weather, and unhappy – moan about any kind of weather.

2.What do we actually say when making a note on somebody:

we manifest our general attitude to human being (do we try to be objective by giving both positive and critical statement or do we only criticize? do we highlight the best side of a person? do we see others as friends or rather enemies?).

we manifest our self-concept, do we think of ourselves better than of others, do we often feel guilty, do we enjoy others?

These are my observations so far, and I do use this finding in private and professional life. Interestingly, analizing these 2 quick tests helps not judge people’s behaviour but to understand and forgive easily.

I enjoyed the photo and the words of the truth. Thank you for the worthy pondering post. Though the snow cowers the rose, the flower continue to bloom. Deep symbolism just cry for a brush and my sketchbook opens as if itself.

usually we listen less or none, observe less or none to others. we are in our mood only and that’s why confusion, misunderstanding occurs when dialogue began. It is always wise to observe and listen first,Analise the things and think for any reaction or dialog. better to be nonjudgmental and non advisory ( usually we like to advice on any topic, and passing comments.gossiping, we loose lots of energy and time in that and create problem to oneself only ), but many time does not occurs. our mood, emotions, thoughts reaction we blows to another person when we get and sometimes problems occur. so we are projecting ourselves only rather than understanding others.
people like you can judge immediately what is wrong with him, yes no? with such simple tests.
ya these tests are very useful for immediate assessment of person and situation even to self also.

Weather is a great metaphor for life – sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, and there’s nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella. ~Terri Guillemets
(You can talk about why something’s good or bad, but only within a specific scale that translates to you subjectively, right?)

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather???….’Do Rainbows apologize for angry skies?”

amazingly, weather metaphors abundant in our daily language:how we describe weather and how we use weather terms to describe other concepts to bring visual or perceptual reality to reflect an emotion!

-people make up their minds about people they meet for the first time within two minutes? Snap decisions about situations and people in a “blink”, has indeed significant implications? Maybe, It plays havoc with how we view ourselves and our ability to interact with people who are different than ourselves.

  4. “we”?….I am always suspicious when articles included me into a legitimation to a certain perception.

Happy people = middle class owner of central heated apartments?
Unhappy people= those who could not find a shelter for the night?
