Why do we love summer time? June 27, 2010

Filed under: thoughts — axinia @ 8:45 am

The sun is what most people are missing the colder parts of the world. We long for summer because it is warm and nice, the nature is splendid and generous. The question “why do we love summer?” may appear silly. Why?!? Sommer time is obviously so great:

However I have a feeling that the main reason for love of summer is… the lack of happiness. Just think of this stunning quote by Anton Chekhov:

People don’t notice whether it’s winter or summer when they’re happy.

Have you also noticed that?

LOVE; axinia

  2. Those are lovely photos! 🙂

This post sounds strange to me, Axinia, because I live in a place where we absolutely hate summer time 😡 It get’s unbearably hot, terribly humid and the Sun decides to unleash all its furious heat in summer here. It’s not a pleasant time at all 😦

I absolutely love the short, cool winter (the only time of the year when the weather is pleasant). That should sound strange and silly to someone in Wien.

    🙂

    Raj,
“Vasant” in summer is always good.you have to pick up the rapidly changing nature and its color.
summer is hot,no electricity,no water, is the real story of India.people leaving in A.C. will not understand real pain of common man but from that we have to lift up us, go to more nearer to nature.Nature specks in its own language.
but for wien picture is totally opposite, what I feel. They struggle for heat( six month only ice. No greenery at all), and when it comes they enjoy like anything.
