Let’s get unplugged!
Just saw this video and loved it!
Most of us are getting more and more sucked into the mesmerising beauty of the virtual reality. But how to break out?
The best would be just to meet in person – this is one of my dreams, to meet people whom I know only from their fascinating comments and lovely letters…
Let’s get unplugged!!
Any ideas? 🙂
LOVE, axinia
nice
I am looking for ideas too….how to kill the distance? Because there is no substitute to ‘hand-to-hand combat’ 🙂
You know the way very well 🙂 Go and meet them
Guess you still remember your promise, next time when you visit India:)
One tip is to post a hand written letter, thou electronic mails/communications has taken big place, still hand written letters have a great charm and love.
Nice suggetion, Bala!
The problem is that my Indian friends live all in different places, and my travel to India is being postponed again 😦
Writing hand letters is a nice idea, but that can not really substitute the meeting in person…
Ya Axinia….I have very close friend online(friend of friend)…I call her my Didi (sis) and I have never met her and I keep forgetting that…I sent her a letter to Her from UK…and She was really really Happy….the idea of sending letter was something i felt spontaneously rather than a way to reach her….never felt I have never met Her 🙂
nice vdo 🙂
made me realize how materialism slowly crawls into everyday life without getting noticed or even if got noticed was ignored.
will think of some idea and get back to you.

Axinia,
The video is nice! 🙂
But I don’t know 😐 I have never met any online friend. I’m not a fan of social networking sites and among my blogger friends, only two are from my city. Some live hundreds of kilometres away while many are separated by thousands of kilometres 😐
One idea would be to try out video-conferencing but even then, it would not be possible to have a ‘hand-to-hand combat’ 🙂
thanks, Scietech nad Princess – still I believe there is nothing like real life meet. May be, one day…
The perils of innocence is you may write “I am UPDATING STATUS”
Lol.
Indian institutions still believe we are innocent, so we get only two options for ‘status’, 1)single , 2)married
Next time I will add a 3)dating
in Italy they have organized this Summer a 3 days blogger seminar with exibitions, meetings and roundtables. my name-blog for example was among the quoted who could not join and lisetd on national online magazine. but this is an idea, it was the first event of this kind in the country and was quite successfull!
Blogger meeting is surely the best idea, although I have also readers who are not bloggers themselves…
