Today in the morning I`ve got a call from an old friend with some heartfelt birthday wishes. He said “I know you are a happy person and it is difficult to wish you something… I wish you that today you will not only be happy, but that you feel very festive and celebrate this day properly!” – and that was The Message!
When we get older, many of us stop celebrating birthdays – at least what I see around. Especially in the West, which is obsessed with youth, ladies don`t want to show off their aging. And so the beautiful child-like celebration slowly dies out…
I followed the advice and kept the festive and joyful mood the whole day long, and that felt great! – I think the importance and the power of a birthday is that it takes you back to the roots, reminds on a child in you and awakens some unique sweetness… And also when other people learn about your birthday, their hearts melt and they the pour their best wishes upon you… Such are very moving and benevolent moments in life!
Let`s keep celebrating our birthdays!
(for those who got their second birth via self-realisation this special pleasure is twice a year 🙂 )
LOVE; axinia
Many more Happy returns of the day 🙂
My hearty wishes 🙂
I wish you to visit a country you never visited before! Lov, r
Radha,
that is a very good wish!
I think it is Sweden or Norway which I really want to visit very much…
lol i have two birthdays-one my solar birthday and the other my lunar birthday 🙂
but birthdays are to be celebrated by others 🙂 lol they should be happy you were born 🙂
Аксиния,
С днём рождения Вас, моего дорогого друга! 🙂
Я желаю, чтобы Вы преуспели в своей миссии распространить Ваше сияние, Вашу мудрость и Вашу любовь, далекую и широкую! 🙂
(I don’t celebrate my birthday at all 😐 Every year, my mother feels that my birthday is one of the most important days in her life but for me it is just like any other day in my life 😐 )
Raj, it is soo sweet of you to translate the congratulation into Russian!!! But your words are too big for me…)
thank you!
Your friend was right!!! So right… 🙂
Wish you a very happy (belated) birthday!!!
Hope all your 1000dreams come true 🙂
thank you, Nova, sweet of you!
1000wishes???… I guess dont have that many…:)
Dear Axinia, heartly best wishes for your birthday – and indeed, we are very lucky to have you with us :-))
1000wishes, this reminds me somehow of the story of how Draupadi was married to the Pandavas – do you know it?
According to the Amar Chitra Kathar (my beloved stories… 🙂 )She was meditating upon Shiva (must have been her live before She came as Draupadi). When He finally appeard infront of her, pleased by Her devotion, He granted Her five wishes. She said “….a good husband…….äh…. a perfect husband…. hmmmm…. a good husband….” Shri Shiva laughed and said, ok, I will give you five husbands”
So, I can see several things in this story: first that Draupadi was so pure, that she could think only of one wish, no others came to her mind. Second, even this one wish was so pure, that she just wanted to live a dharmic family live. And third: take care what you wish, your wish might become true :-)))
wonderful comment, katharina!! a nice story, I did not know it.
And as for wishes…
“take care what you wish, your wish might become true :-)))” – I would even so “beware of your wishes” – they DO come true!
Dear Axinia! A bit late but from my heart the best wishes for you!!! I`m back from a journey from the Black Sea to Vienna on the river Danube. It was great and they crew celebrated a nice congratulation on my birthday on the ship in Belgrad .(22.08.)So well vibrations were flowing as I shared my Birthday-Cake with others! It was a very special event for me.
draupadi16,
happy to hear from you again! I did not know your birthday was so close to mine 🙂
From what you say, I can feel you had a very special celebration.
I noticed on Facebook, with it’s birthday notification feature, on a individual’s birthday, you’ll find many may people writing happy birthday on that person’s wall. Most are just 2 simple words.
Happy Birthday!
