the only truth I know is my own experience

A slavic genius of Leonardo da Vinci caliber is not widely known because of his vision of free power May 24, 2008

How many people who know Einstein and Edison have never heard of Nicola Tesla?  – despite the fact that this Slavic (born Serbian) genius has left 700 (!) patents for inventions worldwide, most of which we use today, he is totaly unknown to the masses. Contemporary biographers of Tesla (1856-1943) have deemed him “The Father of Physics” and “the man who invented the twentieth century” and “the patron saint of modern electricity”. If it weren’t for Tesla’s discoveries and inventions, the typical industrial-era household would scarcely be what it is today.

What happened to this legendary person and his inventions? How come the world largely ignors him?

Tesla was a visionary genius whose sometimes radical ideas established the basis for everything that now powers our world with energy and information. Without his inventions the widespread electrification that touched the majority of people on the planet would not have been possible.

Tesla invented and created the polyphase alternating current energy transmission system of motors and generators that powers the world. He also invented apparatus for radio transmission based on the use of resonance and a kind of spread-technique. Among the more than 700 of Tesla’s other inventions/patents are the rotating magnetic field principle, polyphase alternating-current system, induction motor, wireless communication, fluorescent lights, use of high-frequency (h.f.) currents in medicine and remote control. Tesla was also a visionary thinker, who conceived many ideas, some controversial, which are related to several of today’s mainstream technologies ranging from wireless communication systems, radar, television broadcasting, robotics, computers, faxes, and even the U.S. Strategic Defense Initiative. In 1943, the Supreme Court of the United States credited him as being the inventor of the radio.

He also talked about experiments that suggested particles with fractional charges of an electron. In 1977 they were “discovered” as quarks! Tesla discovered X-ray radiation 3 years before Wilhelm Roentgen was credited for the same discovery.

Tesla made the earth into an electric tuning fork by getting a steam-driven oscillator to vibrate at the same frequency as the ground. The result was an earthquake in the surrounding city. He had accurately determined the resonant frequencies of the Earth almost 60 years before science could confirm his results. In 1899, he sent waves of energy through the Earth, thus providing the theory for earthquake seismic stations. By adding electricity to the returning energy he created the largest man-made lightning bolt ever recorded (130 feet). The accompanying thunder was heard 22 miles away and created a blue glow around the meadow outside his Colorado laboratory. Apparently, Russian scinetiests belive it was Teslas`s experiements that caused the mysterious Tunguska Event.

Tesla was gifted with intense powers of visualization and exceptional memory from early youth on.  He was able to fully construct, develop and perfect his inventions completely in his mind before committing them to paper.  It is said that Nikola Tesla slept one to 2 hours a day and worked continuously on his inventions and theories without benefit of ordinary relaxation or vacations. He was able to judge the dimension of an object to a hundredth of an inch and perform difficult computations in his head without benefit of slide rule or mathematical tables. Tesla had the idea of illuminating the oceans! Critics saw this as absurd. With a fully operational World System, we could light the oceans. Large, permanent, WIRELESS lights could illuminate the depths of the seas. Why not? Tesla also bounced a laser off the Moon…in the 19th Century! Was Tesla DaVinci in a past life?

Few people would consider Tesla to be a spiritual philosopher but some claim his scientific ‘methods’ were comparable with states of consciousness achieved by yoga adepts or ‘saints’.
Whatever I read or heard about his abilities or the way he worked  – I believe  Tesla was a highly developed human being. The fact that he is so painfully unknown tells probably about the level of awareness of the modern society.

When I recently came across a brilliant Russian video on Nicola Tesla, I suddenly realised what was the true reason of him being “forgotten”.

IT WAS HIS VISION OF FREE POWER that made many people like Edison (and all that mighty business world) to his enemies! Tesla believed that the power is same as the air should be free for everyone, one should not pay for it (think of the oil prices today 😦 )

Tesla made his first million at the age of forty, but gave away nearly all his royalties on future innovations. Tesla was rather financially inept, but he was almost entirely unconcerned with material wealth. He ripped up a Westinghouse contract that would have made him the world’s first billionaire, in part because of the implications it would have on his future vision of free power. His idealism and humanism left him with little stomach for the world of industrial and financial intrigue. His New York laboratory was destroyed by a mysterious fire. References to his work and accomplishments were systematically purged from the scientific literature and textbooks.

The idea of free energy made him unpopular! Something free, that the masters of war and business couldn’t control? They couldn’t have that! So, the day after Tesla died in 1943, his huge laboratory on Long Island mysteriously burned down, no records saved, and the remnants were bulldozed the day after that to further eradicate any equipment still left. So much for “free energy”.

I wonder how many people can understand and accept his vision of free today? Or shall we wait till the oil prices collaps and then start searching in panic for the “vanished” papers of Tesla? It is known that he has found the solutiion, but had to desotry it because people might have use it for war.

And, finally, Tesla`s own words on his vision:

“We are confronted with portentous problems which can not be solved just by providing for our material existence, however abundantly. On the contrary, progress in this direction is fraught with hazards and perils not less menacing than those born from want and suffering. If we were to release the energy of the atoms or discover some other way of developing cheap and unlimited power at any point of the globe this accomplishment, instead of being a blessing, might bring disaster to mankind… The greatest good will come from the technical improvements tending to unification and harmony, and my wireless transmitter is preeminently such. By its means the human voice and likeness will be reproduced everywhere and factories driven thousands of miles from waterfalls furnishing the power; aerial machines will be propelled around the earth without a stop and the sun’s energy controlled to create lakes and rivers for motive purposes and transformation of arid deserts into fertile land…”

Nikola Tesla, “My Inventions: the autobiography of Nikola Tesla”, Hart Bros., 1982. Originally appeared in the Electrical experimenter magazine in 1919.

P.S. In a small way, Nikola Tesla has at least had a small recognition of his genius. The Tesla is the SI unit of magnetic flux, while as far as I know there is no scientific unit called the Edison.

  1. The Ideal is always Free. But since it is free, we do not want it. We are more bothered about the path than the destination.

I have come across Tesla as a unit for some scientific measurement, but didnt know there was such an interesting history behind the person. Thanks for bringing this forward to our notice, Axina.

    Hi Axinia,

I am glad you mentioned Tesla. I hope this will touch off more posts on physics. Your interest in spirituality had to eventually lead to physics.

His invention – alternating current & induction motor- are widely used today. Induction motor is known for efficiency and ruggedness. It is a beautiful piece. Since my work revolves around it, I am often reminded of this uncommon genius.

I read this “Also during this time, Tesla was influenced by the Vedic philosophy teachings of Swami Vivekananda.[58]” in wikipedia. May be we could explore this.

    Here is a ‘bizarre’ story:
    http://paranormal.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?site=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.members.tripod.com%2Fuforeview%2Fteslatime%2Fteslatimetravel.html

Today scientists realize we are just at the frontier of science and way far from its sanctum. Tesla had probably take some strides into the actual realm of science.

    @Destination Infinity,

when I caem across to this material I was indeed schocked – how come that the world has forgotten?
To me it is again a brilliant example of the might of the propaganda (in this case – “silent” antipropaganda) – how much it controls the society and how little do we know about the reality.
The sad thing s that it is exactly the same process we can watch now. Scientist around the globe are discovering new ways of gainging power (instead of oil und gas), but the cporporations the inventions and keep aside. Till the oil prise till climbe to 1000 € for barrel???

    Some intresting information:

Since the zero point field promises un-limited free energy from the vacuum, the question is will we be able to har-ness this energy that has the potential to save our planet?

This ‘new’ form of electromagnetic energy was already put to use by Nikola Tesla in the mid-1900’s and has been discovered by the Russians as well referring to it as the torsion wave.

In the fifties Russian scientist Nikolai Kozyrev discovered that torsion waves are linked to consciousness and that our thoughts produce these waves as well.

Torsion waves travel at super luminous speeds to the far corners of the universe and may be the explanation for many Psi related phenomena. It may also account for the non-locality phenomenon of quan-tum science. Torsion fields have been studied by several groups of Russian scientists for at least three decades and most of that time in secret.

    @swaps,

thanks! I guess I have to write another post on Nicola Tesla, there are so many other fascinating this about his personality!…

  4. Swaps Says:

    Hi again :),

Until zero point field is tamed, we must grapple with the fact the North pole is disappearing, glaciers are receding, CO2 level is highest in 6,50,000 years!, human population is multiplying, aspirations are shooting up, 3 species vanish every hour, on and on and on 😦

Axinia, don’t you think we need more than an unlimited supply of energy, namely, a fundamental change in how we describe progress?

Did Tesla himself point to this when he said “..discover some other way of developing cheap and unlimited power at any point of the globe this accomplishment, instead of being a blessing, might bring disaster to mankind… “. Looks like Tesla was more a philosopher that a mere scientist.

  5. axinia Says:

    Swaps,
    you made it the point!

The reason people could never understand and remember Tesla is because he was much further, not only technically but also spiritually.

All what is happening today is because of the deeper crises the mankind is experiencing! All these dangerous signs that you listed are only the manifestation of the general illness of mankind… Capitalism exposes its inablitly to satisfy and develop the mankind, bevause it is built on the human wewaknesses. However mostly people do not see yet the true face of this Mr.D (see my post on Democracy : https://1000petals.wordpress.com/2007/11/02/democracy-or-demon-o-cracy/

It is the question of inner transformation – for everyone and the humanity in general. And this is something which is not mental!!! That is why I do not believe in any political/social/economical invitiatives. It is the matter of a SPIRITUAL transormation, and there are some ways… Lets see, I am optimisitc 🙂

  6. Atlantic Says:

    Axinia,

I agree with you. It is the matter of spiritual transformation. I would say, however that spirtual leaders have already tried to solve many of these same problems for thousands of years. Is this transformation possibile? To some degree yes… But human Beings are inherently flawed. We call it sin. And no amount of spiritual transformation can remove sin. Atleast not through our own power and will. What we really need is recreation.

One more thing. Are many Russian women so wise as you?

    Newfoundlander

    from axinia:

    Dear Atlantic,

Thanks for the compliment 🙂 Russian women are generally wise, I believe… At least because they try to behave like women!

As for the “sin” you are talking about… All I know is that Christ has never talked about it himself. IN the Chrisitanity there is no higher Authority for me as Chist, so I do not inclined to believe in such a thing. Just the opposite, I believe that a human being is a perfect being, innocent and pure in his/her origin.

  7. Fabulous post, Axinia!

In school, I only learned about him because of the SI unit that was named after him. But later, I found out that he was an otherworldly genius, the kind of person who walks upon the Earth once in a century! But ofcourse, I expected him to be treated like that by the greedy “free market capitalists” 😡 I guess there were other some other scientists too who received the kind of treatment that Nicola did 😦

I know that the Soviet/Russian approach to science is quite different from that of the Western world. The Soviets kept their discoveries and inventions secret, but they used it to benefit society as a whole and not the greed of a few “free market capitalist” corporations.

I can strongly empathise with scientists who are geniuses to the point of being crazy! Those chaps just want to save the Earth but human greed will not allow it. I would not be surprised if some scientist like Nicola decides to wipe out humans from the world to save the Earth! I guess two French scientists are already working on such a project! 😐

I too was intrigued a lot by the Tunguska event. It does not look like a normal meteorite explosion to me. There is a lot more to it than meets the eye! What do you think, Axinia? Are there any stories that you were told when you were a kid about this?

  8. JV Says:

    BRAVO.. Great post.

Telsa, as you have clearly mentioned, was undermined by vested interested businessmen.

When you are on the road of spirituality you are always alone, nobody is with you, cannot be with you. Therefore, it is difficult (impossible) to explain and implement the ideas effecting entire society.

It has happened with all sages and saints , they have individually discovered , experience the power and have tried to show the way to the masses. But they are forgotten, their teaching is forgotten what remains is ritual without any understanding.

  9. Atlantic Says:

I totally agree with you JV. This is why it is “difficult (impossible)” to bring change to the entire society. The teachings and examples of a few spiritual leaders, no matter how inspiring does little to convert the masses. Excepting truth is only a begining. It has to be emplemented into ones life in order to make a real difference. These are individual choices and they certianly don’t come naturally. Christians as well as many other faiths perform meaningless rituals trying to appear as spiritual with out making real change. Neither are they incouraged to change. Instead they blame others for the worlds problems and become deeply intrenched in their stubbornness. Yes, as the worlds history comes to a close there will be many who will indeed open their hearts and minds. But unfortunatly it will be the minority just as it has always been since the begining.

  10. axinia Says:

    @Raj,

thank you, dear. I was touched by your understanding of the Russian science. THer is not much known in the West about it – I am used to the West being quite arrogant and rather ignorat abour Russia 🙂

As for Tunguska Event – yes, there have been studies on it, but basically they do not believe it was a meteorit, because no stone body was foudn tehre, you know. What I saw in the Russian film, the scientists really think it was Tesla`s experiment. Intrestingly, even hitle was very keen on this mystery! – there had been German agents found about the TUnguska at the HItler times :))

    @JV,
I am very much with you! It is true, the individial genius mostly have been forgotten or misinterpreted… That is why I have a feeling that tomorrow belongs not to the noble single heros, but to the collective consciousness, to the transformed masses! If fact, it is alreday happening, even if you see who many more people that ever in the human history worldwide are intrested in Spirituality…

    @Atalantic and everyone:
It has been since many years I observe the amazing natural transformation that takes place in everyone who has got their self-realisation. Basically it is the same experience all the sages and saints had – only made easy for a modern human being (otherwise people will never change, as you writely mentioned teachings do not help much!)… It is not only that I can watch the deepest transformation in my own nature, but also of people around who got it also, or people who are just in contact with me!

A long time ago I wrote a post explaning this kind of people very well:

    GENERATION S

I wonder what you how you feel about it?
    🙂

  11. Bala Says:

    Thanks for the info.
Seriously, as you have mentioned, i havent really heard about this genius. Good work and thanks again. 🙂

  12. radha Says:

It is obvious the reason why testla and not only him are still ignored. the light did not take the whole world over. it just started…! we live in a baby world 🙂 I love N.T. genius and all about quantum, physics and energy which has to do with enlighten awareness. It is an infinite subject to know about. the connection of these fields with the inner human or better divine knowledge is so strong. see the fractal geometry as one example…

  13. axinia Says:

An intresting thought, Radha – indeed, his genius has a lot to do with light, and – on the subtle level – with enlightnment. It is a matter of evolution – of physics and of the spirit…:)

  14. Raman Says:

I just knew him as a scientist after whom Magnetic Flux’s units were named! From what I gather fom your post, he is really a great contributor to the Human cause – along with the fact that some of his discoveries were probably much ahead of time and crucial in technology development. As Radha rightly points out, he was an enlightened one – his observation of vested business interests hasn’t stopped him from saying power is everyone’s right! His motives of human unification and harmony are most-praiseworthy.

A fantastic post – must thank you for the knowledge. Interetingly, his b’day is on 10th July and we must celebrate it as Tesla day – may be everyone here can write about 1 of his inventions and its subsequent effects – I think we would do a small part in forwarding the great soul’s idea(l)s.

  15. axinia Says:

Raman, it is wonderufl idea to celebrate his birhday this blogging way!!!!!!!! great, my friend!
However 10th June is the old stile, acutally it will be 27th June as they say…never mind. You can write about him any date, that would be a great contribution.

BTW, I have asked already my German Blogger-Friends to post about him too. Lets make a true Blog-wave!!!

Hopefully WordPress will also realise that and will list it as toptopic (I wondr how they usually do it).

  16. Thanks, Axinia. Which Russian film was it? Is it available on the internet? I would love to watch it . . .

  17. Thanks for the link, Axinia. I’ll watch it as soon as possible. At last, I get to watch/read something about the Tunguska “incident” that comes from the country where the “incident” took place! 🙂

  18. axinia Says:

I am impressed if you can watch films in Russian!! Did you study there?

  19. Спасибо, Axinia and Volodimir! I liked the video very much! 🙂 No, I haven’t been to Russia and don’t understand Russian, but the video was very interesting despite that. But I am still not sure what caused the event 😐

  20. axinia Says:

Raj, the arguments in the film are quite strong, but if you could not understand the Language :)) it is then a bit difficult…Unfortunately I do not have much time to explaint it facts here… After all it is all not so much important in this life!
    🙂

  22. Axinia, I guessed that there were strong arguments in favour of the theory because of the way in which the film was presented. But you are correct, it is history now, and there is no use discussing it any longer. I just wish someone(other than the “free market capitalist” corporations) would find out his secrets about free power! But the dead tell no tales 😦

  23. Bad Karma Says:

I’m not sure it is possible to transmit electricity wirelessly throughout the world. The problem is that energy is lost logarithmically over distance traveled – so you could transmit electricity a few feet, with a lot of loss of energy, and it would be dangerous to humans as well.

  24. axinia Says:

I am not that technically equipped, but I believe that there are still lots of scientific discoveries waiting for us 🙂 Many things that seemed impossible in the past we use now… Considering the fact that Tesla already created many things that work, I would trust him 🙂 Hopefully we will see some news ways even in our lifetime (I wonder how long people want to let the oil industry to rape us with the prices? till 1000 dollar per barrel??)

  25. HuiHua Says:

I came to knew about Tesla only last year during a period of non-activity at work.
I was trying to understand some physics concepts when i came across the idea of resonance.
It seemed pretty fascinating that things can break if their frequencies were matched.
that made me think of how humans can break free from their current awareness if they resonated with a higher power.

  26. Bad Karma Says:

regarding the Tunguska event, I just watched andovumentsry by Catl Sagan. A comet hit that area. The reason that there is no physical artifacts is because a comet is made mostly of ice; thus the whole thing just evaporated, perhaps leaving tiny fragments of stones remaining. Also of note is that for the type of destruction, there was no abnormal radioactivity in the area- thus reinforcing it was a comet and not a manmade explosion.

  27. axinia Says:

    Bad Karma,

Russian scientist point out the strange way the trees have been fallen and also the position of the root – such a thing has not been found during the other meteorit falls elsewhere. And basically you can imagine I tent to trust the RUssian science more, especially on that point – also because they have more chance to study the subject properly on thier own ground 🙂

Why the world ignors him? Its pretty simple. The Western world dominates world media. And most of the new world is also dominated by Westerners. Western-centric media is always taught over anything Eastern.

Slavic inventors have always been underrated in comparison to Western inventors because of that fact. Russia for example is one nation that is underrated. They gave a lot to the world including inventing Satelites which changed the world forever. Yet you barely hear about these things on American Tv. Mostly because again nations like America are dominating by Westerners.
