Hate is the modern love September 2, 2007

Hate is a popular word.Probably more popular than love. People hate their lovers, relatives, colleagues, neighbours, people of other races… Hate is “in”. Everyone/everything that actually has to be love, is being hated. Silly.

But may be hate is just a form of love? In hate one pays attention, thinks all the time about the subject, takes actions… Same as in love, right?

As soon as all the people who hate will realise that they actually love – we will have no problems whatsoever on this Earth! That would be the best trick I think 🙂

LOVE, axinia

Interesting take. I’ve never thought about it like that before.

  2. axinia Says:

It was also new to me:)
I recently was inspired by the talk of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. It was so deep and still so clear and easy to understand…

interesting point, axinia. it could really be — we hate because we love…

  4. modobs Says:

There’s a fine line between love and hate. You can love madly someone and then hate him/her madly when it’s over.
    That’s an interesting point.

Hi Axinia that talk kind of shocked me. In the past i read some poets used to say that hating is loving and i didnt want to believe it. But recently after listening, better readin, to Nirmala Devi speech…umm..i started to accept that it is true.

Axinia, I should say, I have different take on this issue…

Hate and love are just views…not some form….its relative…

And for me, (as I believe in nature and therefore in Physics, as a quest to study nature), whatever we feel/see like hate/love or jealousy, good, bad etc is just a reflection of our own selves….I may sound selfish/foolish but thats what i think…

  7. axinia Says:

    Dear Ramya,
sorry I think I could not really get your idea here…could you please expand?
    thanks 🙂

  8. Ramya Says:

Hmm…I was doubtful if my expression was enough…:(

my idea is, hate or love are just views…neither can be same nor can be they different….coz they dont have any form…its a reflection of your thoughts on the subject….
and when i say i hate something/someone…i am actually hating the action/reaction in those circumstances not the person/thing related…And this action/reaction in turn is just what you percieve…i.e; the reflection of your own thoughts….

Love also is the same…you love something when you relate that thing to you (could be any form…and ny reason)…Similarly others like good/bad etc…

But ya, these are just my views…and I developed this may be because I believe in the fact that my mom used 2 say when we were kids…that God/Devil both are within us….and all this quest for happiness/peace is just different paths in finding that god within us…(as rishis say – Paramatma)…

Hope I was a bit more clear 🙂

PS: Axinia, as I said, these are just my thoughts and they could be wrong/unproved..

  9. Ramya Says:

And ya my relation to Physics is that these thoughts if translated to physics point of view….as Einstein says…everything is relative :)…

  10. axinia Says:

    Ramya, now I understand! 🙂

You have a deep understanding of Reality, that is beautiful…

I guess I got right if I would say it this way:

What I really am is the Spirit (not my mind, my emotions, my body) – and the spirit has only one absolute state, it is all-pervading and it contains everything…It does not react.

The problem of human beings is that we forget about it…

    my post on it here:

    WHO ARE YOU?

  11. Ramya Says:

Thats perfect Axinia….may be much better than what I would have expressed!!! short and simple :)…

as one of the young readers of your blog…I would like to answer an unasked question….if you would ask me what I love about your blog…what keeps me coming back and again ….its the uniqueness of your expression…short simple but still comprehensive…:)..
    Love
    Ramya

Ramya, thanks for your appreciation, it is very important for me.
You know, when I read some blogs like this http://russianwomenspeak.wordpress.com/ I think that my language is too primitive and too simple, and I would love to make complicated phrases…But you are right, probably people need clear things and not too sophisticated expressions.

  13. My opinion on hate and love is this:

If we hate some one, it is one of the qualities in him or her that we hate. That quality is very much present in us, and actually we are hating the reflection of our quality in the other person which we don’t want to see.

If some one hates an extravagant spender, he himself might be hating his own urge to spend extravagantly. Does anyone of us hate a killer or keep thinking about a killer? No, right? That is because we don’t have that instinct within us. That’s why it doesn’t bother us a lot.

“Everything is in the mind. We make our mind impure and then alone we see impurities in others” – Shri Sharada Devi.

PS: The above POV is not mine, I read it somewhere and liked it!

  14. axinia Says:

In that reaspect I like the saying that a jelouse person is the one who himself/herself is thinking of betrayal.

This Philosophy friend is strange yet not Biblical if you are a Christian like me. I don’t have much about it but I don’t think God commanded us to hate so as to love.
