The fish in the water is silent,
the animal on the earth is noisy,
the bird in the air is singing.
But man has in him the silence of the sea,
the noise of the earth
and the music of the air.
The meaning of our self
is not to be found in its separateness from God and others,
but in the ceaseless realisation of yoga,
of union.
The newer people,
of this modern age,
are more eager to amass than
to realize.

That’s really beautiful. The combination of that poem and that picture is actually enough to calm someone down.
Thanks for a moment of serenity.
Thanks, happy to hear that!
I thought it would be needed after my previous post about 2012 😉
awww that’s nice.. i also like the pictureee… 🙂
I love Tagore. 🙂 That is an absolutely gorgeous picture, too.
Ya, this is very powerful.
Beautiful image, evocative. I love the stillness of the flower in comparison to the rushing water and the poem in combination.
While not as meaningful to me as I imagine it’s supposed to be, the poem is still a very nice read. Very well-written. The photo is absolutely beautiful, as well. You’re quite talented! I only wish I had something of that quality in my portfolio. T_T Alas, I am still in the beginning stages as a photographer. 🙂
Thanks for all compliments to the photo – if cant I started more or less seriously about half y year ago, being fascinated by best flickr.com images.
May be a good tip for those who are interested: I was just watching lots of very very good photos, just enjoying very much. And them I noticed that my focus changed and that i slowly started to make better and better ones!
I believe it is all out of love and true passion: if you dedicate yourself to something, sooner or later your will master it:)
It is a still a long way to go, but I enjoy so much taking pictures!.. – I guess it is exactly my love and joy what is being felt in them and what makes them that beautiful.
