I remember reading about apocalyptical scenario 2012 one year ago: being a natural optimist I could not believe that dusky destiny.
Being a realistic and scientifically-oriented person, I am not inclined to trust any prophecies either.
Recently I´ve read a scientifically based article on 2012 which literally has rocked my imagination and awareness.
- Several scientific sources state that in the year 2012 the Earth and Sun will be at the center of the Milky Way, and will cross over the universe’s “equator”. This change will force the Earth to change the magnetic polarity of our North and South Poles. (North pole will register South, and visa versa).
- Scientifically this can lead to a huge disaster of unknown proportions. Causing worldwide mass extinctions, volcano’s, and earthquakes (the planet has in fact changed its magnetic polarity before, 800 million years ago)
- Scientiests have long known that mangetic poles move. The North Pole kept going during the 20th century at an average speed of 10 km per year, lately accelerating to 40 km per year.
The worst case scenario is said to the be memory loss with all human beings due to the strong electromagnetic radiance caused by photon particles of Milky Way.
- One of the serious signs of the upcoming changes could the increasing frequency of the “Earth’s heart beat”. The resonance of Earth (Schumann Resonance) has been 7.8Hz for thousands of years. Since 1980 it has risen to over 12Hz.
- Meanwhile 20 Hz has been registered in some parts of the Middle Europe and up to 30 Hz in California! The fact hat the Schumann resonance has always been correlated with the human brain waves is explosive. Since 1962 each spacecraft has a “Schumann-Simulator” that keeps astronauts able to react in a stress situation.
Reading all that – and some other evidences – I decided to take a more serious look at the famous Maya Prophecies saying following:
- On December 21, 2012, a rare celestial alignment will take place, aligning the galactic and solar planes. At this point, the winter solstice sun will conjunct the Milky Way, creating a “gate to The Milky Way” which was much venerated by the Maya.
- It was called a number of things: the World Tree, the Crossroads, or the Wakah Chan. Wakah can mean “six” or “erect,” while Chan or K’an can mean “four,” “serpent” or “sky”.
- This alignment will occur when the winter solstice sun (One Hunahpu First Father) conjuncts the crossing point of the ecliptic and the Milky Way (the Tree of Life, First Mother). Specifically, the crossing point is where the “dark rift”(the Road to Xibalba, the birth canal of First Mother) is located in the Milky Way.
The Maya claimed that this future end-time could include a catastrophic magnetic pole reversal of the planet Earth, a solar shift, a Venus transit and mounting earthquakes, among other catastrophes. On the other hand, some experts claim that the Mayans might not meant the year 2012 would necessarily be “the end of days”, but perhas just the end of an age.
The Mayan calendar is recognized as the world’s most accurate calendar, more so than the Gregorian system in use today. Its accuracy is said to be such that the Mayan calendar will need to be adjusted by only one day in 380,000 years.

Yesterday, signing my first rent insurance I was seriously thinking what the use of it would be if some global changes would happen in 5 years?!
A good question to ask oneself: am I ready to face all that?

I’ve also read an article like this about changing the poles (some prove by Russian scentists). It also impressed me especially when I saw the pics. But some examples speaking of the future change taken from our real everyday life impressed me even more than scientific proves: some problems with memory, time accelaration and things like that.
Some prophecies also say that appr. at this time the time will come for the humans to enter the next dimension (like it has already happened in the history of the world several times) and to do it loss of memory should occur.
But notwithstanding all these facts, I am very much optimistic and 100 per cent sure that if during these 5 years the human race will understand that people should change themselves, change their values and attitude to the planet and nature in particular nothing like poles changing will happen.

I have heard this before, and I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. I think it’s important to live each day as if it could be your last, because one day will be our last, and we never know when that day will be.
As for me,I have a tendency to believe as the humanity has really become crazy in their attitude to our Mother Earth, as well as to their rush for money. I am an elderly woman, and I am shocked by what is going on with people all over the world. They behave as if they could take all their possessins with them.There is still time fore changing and improving,so let us try our best.
Very interesting post Axinia. I also have read something about it once. It´s interesting that even the prophecies (from different cultures) about human future speak about some kind of apocalypse. All this sounds logic and not much surprising to me. Even if the poles don´t jump we don´t have much chance to servive without changing our way of life. Any scientist would confirm it.
The ressources are ending. In Africa there are a lot of countries where half! of the population is hiv-positiv… and so on and so on. We are on sinking titanic and the only thing we are interested in is to win the next game of cart. The indians call the white civilisation “schizophrenic” and this seems to me the only explaination why we keep on going the path of distinction knowing where it leads.
I hope we will manage to transform this world. Giving realisation is the only way to wake up people.

what are my priorities? my state of being? my values?
Wow, with the gods as the directors and producers, and with an all-star cast – the whole human race – this is bound to be memorable blockbuster! (I have a passion for action-comedies.) Just hope we have enough humility to laugh at ourselves, learn something from the plot, and enjoy the ride up to the new beginning . . . and beyond.

Well, I’m not sure about the year (Jesus said “no man knows the day nor the hour”), but if the Mayan calendar is more accurate than the Gregorian, then I guess it’s a reasonable expectation.
I do believe there will be some definate catastrophies in the near future, though. You’ve probably guessed that my reasons for believing it have nothing to do with Mayan prophecies or whatever, but yeah. 🙂 I’m not prepared, but I do know that spiritual preparation is more important than physical. It is my belief that there will be no more life on this planet once these catastrophies have been completed.
I do wonder how we can be right in the center of the Milky Way, though… isn’t there a black hole at the center? O_o; I mean, I’d be more worried about that then the poles switching on us…

My worst fear is that 2012 will be just like every other year that preceeded it, dull and just a tired re-run of the same old problems. Please oh please oh PLEASE let’s have a transformation of consciousness, or a pole shift or something equally momentous to shake the world – and humanity – out of their current stupor!

Interesting, Andy…how does accepting your offer prove belief? It could be simple greed, or taking advantage of a unique opportunity. She’d have five years to find a way out of the agreement, should that be her wish. The topic of the post is an interesting discussion point, and even if she were to start preparing for such an eventuality (there’s no sign of that in her post, merely curiosity) how would you distinguish belief from boy scout pragmatism: “Be Prepared”?

if one reads the prophecy in the Bible concerning the end of the world, one can really predict the end of time but not the exact date and time.
i believe that the world will end in just a matter of time that is why there is so much trouble in our world that it can’t be explain on how and why did it happen. It seems the bad seems get to be more bad and the good becomes more good and this is really one of the great signs.
5 years time? might be! The prophecies written by Ms.Ellen White is based on the prophecies written in Daniel and Revelation and pls forgive me if I can’t give youthe exact texts. And am sure seminarians, prists, and pastors knows where it is exactly in the Bible.

There is only 1 question – if the Spirit is only “subject”, which is never ending, why to don´t transform our awareness into joy of Spirit fully to receive its quality? Everybody, who is even little bit spiritually oriented, must understand, that this Earth, as well as all the matter, exists to manifest Spirit only. So why to don´t go into present – field of Spirit, where is only space of reality? Why to don´t go deeper here? To cross this moha negativity against true inocence? I read this article several mounths ago. my firsth thougts were that this is illusive and real at the same time, illusive beacuse it talks about a state in teh future and real becuase it stimulates us to be more estabilished in the center, i mean in the present life.

I am not inclined to trust any prophecies either except those that have been proven in the past. If there is a good track record to suggest that predictions have come true than you can be sure that any future prophecy made by the same source will also come true as well. Once again our history and rationale become important factors in determining our future. Science? I’m glad that you mentioned science because it is also a very valuable resource. I just want to point out that studing the science for ones self is crutial to knowing the truth. Most scientists have already made up their minds what they beleive and simply twist it to meet their own theories. In matters of both faith and science it’s always best to do the math yourself. The majority is not “always” right! Infact Biblical scriptures actually teach that only a small minority know and practice truth. This will hold true right to the close of time unlike many popular beleifs.
I find the prophicies of the maya as well as your scientific comments very intersting mainly because some of them go along fairly well with what the Bible teaches. Acording to it, we are now living in the very closing hours of earths history. There will be severe earth quakes as well as deadly plagues, the likes of which the earth has never seen. I would also like to give “Sunshineforlife” full credit for having mentioned the wrightings of Ellen G. White. Thanks. (Either she is familiar with Adventism or she is a very well read lady indeed.) Mrs. White is both one of the most repected and contoverial of religious writers. She wrote hundreds of books and is the most translated auther of all time. This is a small sample of her writings.

What she is actually doing here is clearifying Biblical scripture so that it can be understood in these the last days. What is interesting however, is that she mentioned the hole in Orion, the center of the Milky Way, at a time when astronomy was rather primative. Edwin Hubble didn’t come around until the 1920s when the size and basic structure of the Galexy finally became known. I’m not sure at what point they realized about the opening. How did she know? This is made all the more intriguing by the scientific and Mayan prophecies that Axina has been kind enough to share. These things were very unfamiliar to me. Much thanks to you sweety!

In fact, I am never surprised at anyone seeing future, because I know why and how it happens (never wanted to do it myself, because I try to avoid such things) – it is possible and one can predict a lot.
As for the Doomsday, I guess it may also be avoided if many people /the critical mass of the Earth population could be transformed and make a breakthought to the new human level – which is possible and is being done by all spiritual people all over the world. The world we can live in today is totaly mad, and there should be some good shake /or some good change! 🙂

Actually my comment seems more like expression of my views on today’s experiment (CERN – which spread rumors of creating balck hole)…rather than the philosophy….but the point which i wanted 2 make was clear enough hopefully!!
I also heard about the Mayan philosophy which says dec 2012 wud be the end of the world….According to some scientists, this experiment if successful would take 4 and half years almost to be at its full efficiency…thats 2012…
And those few scientists say the exp at its full efficiency might create few black holes as a result…which means end of the world….which is in line with mayan philosophy!!
Ofcourse as i said, I dont believe in these, but anyways…even if they are true…we wud never know it happened…isnt it??? we need not worry or feel bad even if world ends coz there wud be none left to cry over this tragedy…hehe…

Dear Axinia, it is interesting that at the same time I was working on a post about Mayan prophecy, you posted an excelent article here on your blog about the same. So I used it as part for mine (if you alow me to).
I have been going thorugh various sourcess for some time in the past, in regards Mayans, and after all that this is one of possible explanations, and compare it please with the prophecy. Remember, their wording is very much different from ours – our language is linear and their is expressing symbols. So:
Opening of the gate (Sahasrara) will ocure when erected serpent (Kundalini) goes from four (support of mooladhara) through six skies (chakras) to open the gate (of Sahasrara). The final alignment (complete realization) will come, when First Father (in India called Shiva-Spirit) and First Mother (called Shakti-Kundalini) conjunct on the road (Sushumna) to Xibalba (Sahasrara), the birth canal of First Mother.

There are so many things about 2012 that are such lunacies…for one thing, a polar shift cannot happen in one year. It takes many MANY years (I think I read once, it takes at least 2000 years?) so saying it’s going to happen in one year or even one day is ridiculous. And secondly, 2012 was only listed by the Mayans because they didn’t even think that Earth would still be around by now so they needed to end their calendar at some point. The fact is these so called scientific studies are the ones made by discredited scientists.

Rent insurance is a kind fo private insurance that you pay extra and hopefully get some extra moeny to your rent later. I heard from extperts that this is a total cheating. And I don’t have any.
