Are you an intellectual? October 1, 2009

Intellectuals are those nice people who think they reach their destination merely by studying the road map.Gregoir de Kalbermatten

I love this quote! I was a classical intellectual since my childhood – books meant everything to me and mental knowledge was the measure of all things. At some point I realised that this leads nowhere, that I dramatically miss the REAL knowledge. And I did not mean the knowledge of what is called “life experiences”, no. It was the longing for something else, something universally accessable and clear, powerful and very practical… I was fed up with studying the road map, I wanted finally to reach my destination.

And it turned out to be possible! The guide was called (more…)

I heard my name being called September 18, 2009

For years, copying other people,

I tried to know myself.

From within, I couldn’t decide what to do.

Unable to see, I heard my name being called.

 Then I walked outside.

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.

Earthly pleasures are the shadows of happiness September 14, 2009

Earthly pleasures are the shadows of happiness, because of their transitoriness.

True happiness is in love, which is the stream that springs from one’s soul;

and he who will allow this stream to run continually in all conditions of life, in all situations, however difficult,

will have a happiness which truly belongs to him, whose source is not without, but within. (more…)

Marriage is a trade September 12, 2009

Marriage is a trade where you get more than what you bring. Gregoire de Kalbermatten

Although it sounds brutally capitalistic, it is true – whatever we give in a marriage, the gain is always higher. May be because only in this sacred institution we have a chance to grow and get transformed so much more than in any other kind of relationships?.. (more…)

How many Indigo Children do you know? August 31, 2009

I was asking myself if I should post about Indigo Children or not…Finally I decided to do so, for I believe this information might help some of my readers to understand their own nature and behaviour better.

Indigo children is a New Age concept developed by Nancy Anne Tappe describing children who are alleged to possess special traits or abilities. The concept was initially developed in the 1970s, gaining popular interest with the publication of a series of books in the late 1990s and the release of several films in the following decade. Beliefs about indigo children range from their being the next stage in human evolution, possessing paranormal abilities, to the belief that they are simply more empathetic and creative than their non-indigo peers. There is no science or studies that give credibility to the existence or traits of indigo children. Many children labeled “indigo” are diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.

When I first came across this theory a year ago (too late!) I realised that it explains absolutely everything in my behaviour, especially in my childhood.

What is an indigo Child?

  • They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it)
  • They have a feeling of “deserving to be here,” and are surprised when others don’t share that.
  • Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents “who they are.”
  • They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
  • They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
  • They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and don’t require creative thought.
  • They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like “system busters” (nonconforming to any system).
  • They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.
  • They will not respond to “guilt” discipline (“Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did”).
  • They often posses some “paranormal” abilities.
  • They are aware of thier mission of saving the world and they are sometimes too serious about it.

These children are often the older new children. They are rebellious, and want things done their way. They have new ideas and are here to bring down the old systems of thinking and doing on this planet. It is their mission. They are also here to make the planet safe for the more sensitive Crystal children to come in. They are often considered to have “warrior spirits”. They have unique gifts, high intelligence, remarkable spirituality, strong intuition, and intense willpower. As for physical characteristics, they have what are often called “old soul” eyes. They have deep eyes that are “grown-up” and full of wisdom. Indigo’s are commonly misdiagnosed as having ADD. This does not mean that every child with ADD is an Indigo child.

When I’ve read some sites on it (unfortunately often too esoteric), I just realised that is about me! (more…)

The dangers of Sahaja yoga meditation practice June 26, 2009

Recently many of my friends and acquaintances all of a sudden got a genuine interest in practicing Sahaja yoga meditation- apparently because they have been watching me since years and came to a conclusion it must be a good thing because it makes me so happy and my life so easy. Generally there seems to be a growing interest in Sahaja yoga meditation practice worldwide and I believe it is important to make the interested population aware of some dangers in connection with it.

Danger Nr.1

After some time of Sahaja yoga mediation practice you will find out that communication with many people will become difficult as you will not be able to keep up the favourite topic of all conversations – the moaning. That can become a real problem if you are not a skillful conversation leader - why should you keep up a totally boring and useless conversation at the time when you know what to do about the problems (interestingly some people seem not to be interested in solutions but only in moaning).

Danger Nr.2

After some time of Sahaja yoga meditation practice you will find out that your life will change and all the happenings, people and nature around will start bubbling with colours. The number of happy coincidences and amount of luck will grow. At the same time something else can start growing – namely the jealousy of people. Some people may start having serious difficulties with you becoming “too positive”.

Danger Nr 3

After some time of Sahaja yoga meditation practice you will find out that the true value of all things is the vibrational one.You will start enjoying only things that have been created with love, attention, with the quality of heart and soul. Immediately you will know which object, music, or information is valuable for you and will do you good – literary in seconds you will be able to percept and revise huge bites of information with the right solution and answer for every situation (compared to this the famous sixth sense wearable device is peanuts)

Danger Nr.4

After some time of Sahaja yoga meditation practice you will notice that more and more people feel attracted to you – some can mistake it for the physical attraction but the true reason for that is your increasing freshness and loveliness. Regular sahaja meditation has some interesting impact on a meditator as: glowing eyes, softer skin and beaming face. All that will be consciously or unconsciously recognised by the people you meet. The possible danger for you here: will you be able to deal with your increasing popularity? (more…)

The nature of impressions we get from things is nothig else but vibrations June 19, 2009

I came across this text of my favorite saint Hazrat Inayat Khan and was stunned how accurate he was describing something what the practitioners of Sahaja meditation know from their daily experiences – but he was describing it before 1927!

Isn’t it great that something that has been known and accessible only to the few in the earlier times, now is easily available to everyone?!..

Enjoy the saint’s experiences:

“There are many ancient places where one finds stones engraved, woods carved with some artistic designs. Sometimes there are letters engraved on the rock of a mountain, on a stone; letters which today no one can read. Yet one endowed with the gift of intuition can read them from the vibrations, from the atmosphere, from the feeling that comes from them. Outwardly, they are engravings, inwardly they are a continual record, a talking record which is always expressing what is written upon it. No traveller with intuitive faculties open will deny the fact that in the lands of ancient traditions he will have seen numberless places which, so to speak, sing aloud the legend of their past.

One sees the same in the atmosphere of the trees in the forests, in the gardens, which also express the past – the impressions that have been given to them by those who sat under them. Often people have superstitions about a tree being haunted, and this one finds much more in the East. Actually a vibration has been created, consciously or unconsciously, by someone who has lived there, who has taken shelter under the tree and pondered upon a certain thought, upon a certain feeling which the tree has taken up, and which the tree is expressing. Perhaps the person has forgotten about it, but the tree is still repeating the thought that has been given to it; for the tree can express the voice that was put into it more clearly than a rock.

In tropical countries where in ancient times people used to travel on foot through the forests and woods, and take shelter under a certain tree, all that they thought and felt has been taken up by the tree. Those with intuitive faculties open have heard it more clearly than if they had heard it from a living person.

One finds the same thing among animals, the pet animals which live and partake thought and feeling through their contact with man. There especially exists a superstition about horses. Those who know horses are very particular in buying one which has good vibrations, apart from considering its health and breed. Often a horse of a very good breed and perfectly sound may prove to be unlucky. The reason is that the disappointment of someone who has been riding upon this horse has been left there, recorded upon the heart of the horse. Perhaps the condition of the person has changed, but that which the horse has kept is still continuing. (more…)

Are you a meditative person? Check yourself! June 9, 2009

“And the more you find something in your meditation, the more you want to go and distribute it to others. Whatever you find, you want to enjoy it with others, you want to give it to others. This is the sign of a person what has been really meditative.

Because the joy that you receive in your meditation has to be distributed. Has to be given. Has to be shown.

It should flow in your being as the light radiates from every illumined lamp. You don’t have to take a vow to say that this is an enlightened light. In the same way a Saint should not have to be certified that he is a Saint. The depth you achieve within yourself spreads all over. It is such an action and reaction. The deeper you become, the radiation is much more.”

How does it feel like to live “in the flow” May 19, 2009

Wikipedia: “Flow is the mental state of operation in which the person is fully immersed in what he or she is doing by a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and success in the process of the activity. Proposed by positive psychologist Mihály Csíkszentmihályi, the concept has been widely referenced across a variety of fields – in the West. Interestingly, for millennia, practitioners of Eastern religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism have honed the discipline of overcoming the duality of self and object as a central feature of spiritual development. Eastern spiritual practitioners have developed a very thorough and holistic set of theories around overcoming duality of self and object, tested and refined through spiritual practice instead of the systematic rigor and controls of modern science.

The term “Flow” seems to represent well the state I want to post about now, however the describition of the flow I found in Wikipedia does not appeal to me at all – I found it rather confusing and too complicated.

I never trained on purpose to get into the “flow” but my present life is am amazing example how this can work, actually without you even thinking of it, even knowing of all these theories and science!

Let me give you some examples how it feels like:

-when I want to check my phone for an sms I am waiting for – the sms comes this very moment I touch the phone…

-when I am working I do nto feel I am working…

-when i look for a tel. number of somebody in my emails, at this very moment the email comes where this very person out of the blue suddenly sends me the number…

-when I realise I need some  information I suddenly get it this very moment from a complete irrelevant source…

-when I listen to the music in the bus and watch the crowd passing by, my attention gets automatically attracted to a person who walks in the same rythm with this music, while none of other pedestrians walk in the same rhythm… (more…)

Fragrance May 17, 2009

You have seen how a flower shakes off all that is not needed, blooms out, pierces its head outwards, opens out just to give fragrance to others.

If you want to give fragrance to others, how far is there fragrance within you?  Is there fragrance within you that you are going to give fragrance to others?
