And again Italy, holidays… I guess it looks already suspicious. Not, I am not married to a Russian Mafia boss, and I am not working as a mystery shopper for hotels I have a regular manager job, rather a hard one. And I have my good right for the nice holidays!

Anyway, my dear ones, I will not be posting one week again. This time my destination is Liguria, the mountain region in the North Italy - its divine beauty and peace…

New styling for my blog

I really loved my old Theme - it was so cosy, round, elegant and special. But these terrible problems of inserting the right font made the think of a new theme. After some crazy rush around the WordPress themes I chose the one you see now. And somehow, I felt it is a new start! May be it is beautiful spring outside that inspired me… Anyway I am glad I did that and hope the posting will be even more fun after I switched to this user-friendly layout.

I hope very much that not only me but also my dear guests are happy with this change. Are you?

A question about spirituality

The Google Search gave me 61.400.000 results for the word SPIRITUALITY, with the top reasult of Wikipedia, explaining to me what Spirituality is:” Spirituality, in a narrow sense, concerns itself with matters of the spirit, a concept closely tied to religious belief and faith, a transcendent reality, and God. Spiritual matters are thus those matters regarding humankind’s ultimate nature and purpose, not only as material biological organisms, but as beings with a unique relationship to that which is beyond both time and the material world”;

and some more: “Many spiritual traditions, accordingly, share a common spiritual theme: the “path”, “work”, practice, or tradition of perceiving and internalizing one’s “true” nature and relationship to the rest of existence (God, creation (the universe), or life), and of becoming free of the lesser egoic self (or ego) in favor of being more fully one’s “true” “Self”.

Although I agree with the most of it,  I still  wanted to add something based on my personal experiences.

This March turned out to be a holiday month for me – apart from the great journey to Russia and India I went to Italy on corporate holidays.Italy is a country which I know since many years (used to live there for one year and keep coming for a short holidays every summer). But this time Italy s me showed me its true face – its true beauty. The essence of Italian charm: Tuscany.

One Russian Tourist visiting … Russia

My holidays this time was a double-exotic journey. From cosy and stuffed Austria I went to hot and developing India via cold and diverse Russia.

Born Russian and being a Russian citizen I actually spend only 5 years of my life in Russia: every time I visit it I feel more like a tourist (which gives me an interesting perspective and still the ability to act like a native).

This slide show can give you some impressions I got from staying in Moscow for several days.

My last visit to Russia was 2 years ago. Any changes? Any new impressions? 

It feels like people have become more satisfied, more peaceful. At the same time more reserved

Ask most people what they did on holiday

Ask most people what they did on holiday and they`ll tell you about the great sights they saw, the grand events, the glamour, the extremes in weather, environment or people. But they`ll be hard pressed to remember the small things, like the market they passed through on the way to the cathedral, or the beautiful flowers they saw on the path to the beach house. Yet it is the small things which give substance to the reality of the whole experience. 

Meditation teaches us to enjoy the journey as a whole and not to waste time peering into the future to catch a glimpse of the destination. We learn that the flowers at our feet are unbelievably fragrant and beautiful, of only we would stop for long enough to appreciate them. We realise that patience is a power that cannot be cherished too much. It is the bedrock of peace, contentment and our spiritual desires.”All good things come to whose who wait”, is an ancient proverb, and how true it is. 

I feel like a WordPress warrior!

It has been since 1,5 years that I am blogging at WordPress. I have to admit that I never tried any other blogging platform, so my feeling is obviously of a very subjective matter.

My passion about Wordpess has developed with the growth of Wordpres itself and with my ability to use it and to apply this great media to so many things in my life.

So what fascinates me about WordPress that much?

 - great community and it`s support (WordPress News, etc.)

 - absense of adsens!!!!

- easy usage and still sophisticated look

- possibility to use a blog for something very different that typical blogging- like the organisation/coordination of a congress!

Things that make us thoughtlessly aware

There are moments in life that surely familiar to everyone: the moments when the thoughts vanish in front of something amazing, breathtaking, incredibly beautiful or awesome… These are the moments that are so precious, because they relax our mind and for some seconds set us free from the overpowering thoughts. Like this sunset that I captured the other day over the city of Vienna.

Some other things that can also relax our mind could be the following:

- beautiful landscapes

- beautiful flowers and plants

- children (playing, laughing, being busy with something, etc.)

- music (in my case it is either Indian Classical or Western Classical music)
